I know this is probably a stupid thread to start but I am just psyched today !

As some of you know I have been battling osteo -arthritis for 3years in knees and hips. ( yeah in mid 40s and is result of running on roads with 10Ks since I was 8 . It is nearly impossible to put on socks anymore in the morning.)

Two weeks ago I broke my wife's spin cycle. Of course. she scolded me intensely for doing it and told me to never get on it again.

So I have been left with only my Circuit training on Tuesday and Thursday with medium to heavy weights.

Well, I have not cut down my eating habits since being unable to ride spin bike.

So my weight has suffered somewhat.

I can't run anymore, hardly....so I have been looking for a bike.

Anyway, wife went her Saturday 'garage saling' with Grandma and they found an incredible bargain . A really good 10 speed for $20. It could have easily sold for $100. And over $200 brand new

So I got up before Church today and road it for the first time around neighborhood for 50 minutes. Hard riding.

It felt great.

And It feels good to have this additional aerobic exercise. Just a real Blessing that it can fit in good with this damn OA I have to live with !

So Iam excited today to be able to find this route around my neighborhood that is going to work out great for me and my bike

And it looks like Biking for the next number of decades for me lol

The good thing with the Biking I can do it and be able to eat my Panda Express today for lunch without a whole lot of worry

Sweet find. My wife and I have been doing quite a bit of riding the past 10 years or so and have a good time doing it. We have 20 or 30 miles of bike path in my area so it's usually pretty smooth riding except in the extreme wind. A good portion of the path follows the river so it's usually a pleasant ride.

On extra windy days we stay in town and ride the neighborhoods and unfortunately for my waistline we found this tiny little DQ walk-up stuffed in the middle of a residential neighborhood. We had no clue the place even existed!

Long story short, now it seems that many more days are too windy for a really long ride so we head straight or that DQ route!

    Cheers
