Secret Service Director Julia Pierson Resigns Amid White House Controversy

I don't think she had much choice.

One thing that keeps coming up - though it hasn't been emphasized as yet - is that some staffers in the WH interfere. That's why the alarm was turned off - because pages complained of the noise. That's just stupid to allow that to occur. I'm not blaming the WH staff as SS should be able to say "no".

It sounds sloppy to me. A lot has been said about a door lock but the guy should not have made it TO the door. Why do we have dogs if we don't turn them loose? We have snipers on the roof - where were they?

We need a new chief to shake them up and put the agents in charge of security and not back down to staff demands for silence or easy access.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

Can't say I feel sorry for her. Sounds like really sloppy security and then there's this

Sounds like an excellent choice. He knows the structure and can hit the ground running. I think he's what the Service needs right now.

Probably. They're all in there stabbing each other. There's more war in our WH than anywhere on the globe, I think.

    Holder resigned too.

Actually the report is about a secret service person leaking POTUS schedule to the Romney camp not infighting within the WH.

        the report is about
Actually the 'report' is about one side versus another - two year old news - and it ends up political because that's the goal.

If true, IMHO, its more about another incident of a secret service member betraying our trust and the pols involved are not important.

I'd be a little more concerned about this admin leaking the whereabouts of Seal team 6 than someone leaking info on the campaign trail of a competitor. And Yeah - it's waring against each other. They are all doing it. Look at the crap Perry is going through in TX just for exposing a vulgar drunk with entitlement and power issues. They're all so stinking corrupt that any time they make a move, the other party can get an investigator on them and turn up dirt that will ruin them.
