Flyers - Scholarships and Grant Offers - College desks?

Pretty sure its been brought up before, nowhere near new, but Im planning on getting a few people from fiverr to put flyers all over their local university, (cars, bulletin boards, bathrooms, on students desks, etc) promoting free scholarship offers which are around 4 or 5 bucks for a lead, with a flyer copy such as,

]"ATTN: COLLEGE NAME STUDENTS! WE ARE GIVING AWAY FREE SCHOLARSHIPS! REGISTER NOW AND RECEIVE $X,XXX TOWARD YOUR NEXT SEMESTER! HURRY AND CLAIM YOUR MONEY FOR SCHOOL! WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! VISIT www.OFFERLINK.COM TO REGISTER TODAY!"

I was thinking about setting up a seperate landing page for each college for personalization(real word?) reasons to raise conversion rates.

How do you guys think this would work out? Any tips, improvements welcome!

    I'm pretty sure I've seen this in a WSO or two around here and seem to remember it working well for those using it. I'm not sure what teachers think about flyers being placed in their classrooms, but if you can hit bulletin boards and other places, maybe even take an ad in the school newspaper, it seems like something worth trying.

    Just read a wso about something like this, im sure everyone knows about it but he was using offers like free Ipads and such, which I think would be good also being that the students will most likely be young and interested in stuff like that, but what do you think would convert better FREE MONEY FOR SCHOOL OR A FREE IPAD??

    Personally, I would definitely not use that wording on your flyers. You are basically stating they will automatically receive the money if they register at the site. At ScholarshipZone.com, people can register to have a chance to WIN scholarship money via a drawing, and I believe that is the case with most if not all of the CPA scholarship offers.

    Besides the fact that it would be completely unethical to pass out flyers like that, you could possibly end up in some legal trouble (I'm not an attorney, but wouldn't want to take that chance).

    I would change the wording to "Register now for a chance to receive $X,XXX towards your next semester!" That would be honest and you would still likely get some sign ups if signing up is quick and easy for the student.
