Hey everyone! I love the sense of community on this forum. I feel like I know a lot of you just by reading your posts all of the time. I believe the majority of people here genuinely wants to help others succeed, which is rare. Thought it would be cool for everyone to share some hobbies and activities they like doing besides work! lol Or just talking a little more about themselves. A little break from all the marketing discussions ![]() I will start... I am a fitness fanatic. Grew up playing competitive soccer and wrestling. Recently have competed in powerlifting competitions and now do bodybuilding. I have the same passion and drive for bodybuilding that I do for offline marketing. Besides that, I love rock climbing, hiking, playing guitar, watersports, snowboarding, attempting to learn new languages (currently Portuguese) and basically anything outdoors! |

If I couldn't play my guitar everyday I would lose my mind. Drinking used to be my #1 and #2 activity but I guess old age finally caught up to me, so that's out... I'm doing the "Couch to 5K" thing right now. Running is hard. |

Great thread. Interesting that you like languages too, I've always been interested in them however more so the alphabets. I taught myself how to write arabic, greek, and about 300 chinese characters. I've got a ton of hobbies but they mostly include enjoying fine art, piano, wine, card magic, poker, and sailing. |

I enjoy fishing and hunting... althought with this stupid outbreak killing the deer, I don't know how much hunting for white-tail I will be able to do this year. As well as going paintballing and, ghost hunting... (but let's not get into a debate over it please) I also love taking my kids out. I am still a kid at heart and enjoy Chuck E Cheese's, Craigs Cruisers, and anything else like that that I can say I am doing because of my kids. (Arcades, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, Go Karts, etc.) |

I played Rugby and Soccer in school. Loosehead prop like the mighty Os du Randt! I'm passionate about soccer still just dont play as often and purely social now. I support Liverpool full time The Stormers and Bafana Bafana, google those. I read religously, I bought a Kindle over a year ago and havent looked back. The light on my cover makes bed time reading awesome. Currently reading I still do some computer gaming when I have time, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Dota 2. To be honest, offline marketing has become a hobby too in the sense that I'm thinking out ideas while having social time. My business is not work, I see the day to day challenges as my personal RPG, I level up every time I close a sale. |

I'm big into bodybuilding as well. Unfortunately however, I just hurt my shoulder pretty bad during close grip bench. Half way through my bulking phase. It will be interesting to see how this heals. Going to the doctor tomorrow. I'm hoping It's just a pulled muscle. Unfortunately I'm thinking its my rotator cuff. So...be careful with bench. Remember...form before weight! I'm also big into skydiving. Been jumping for 5 years. The feeling that you get stepping out of a plane at 15,000 ft beats any other high. It's an addiction! |

I love inline-skating, white water kayaking, moonlite walks on the beach, lol. Seriously though I am going to be taking lessons this winter in a pool to learn the basics of whitewater kayaking, and then in the spring I start river training. I am interested in soccer but I don't play it much. I am a big fan of Film and wanted to be an actor before but it's funny how that passion actually caused me to find IM. I do have a goal of learning to Hang Glide, either next summer or the summer after that. And I would love to go skydiving but I am too scared at this point in my life, lol. What would be awesome is those new wing suits. I read on wikipedia that you need like 300 or 400 sky dive jumps before you can take any kind of training for those wing suits. Maybe those will be my goals for the next 4-5 years. Learn White water kayaking this winter and up-coming summer Then, learn Hang Gliding in summer 2013, or 2014 By then hopefully I will be brave enough to try sky diving maybe 2015. Then in 2016 - 2020 I will have enough sky dive jumps under my belt to start training for the wing suits! Sweet. |

This thread seems never ending, and a lot of people would actually want to share what their favorite past times are, for me I do love gardening, DIY things, reading books and being in the internet a lot I would still love to know more about creating big bucks through the internet. And of course I would love to find a genuine site that is legit and not bogus.

| Wally, I started the Couch to 5k thing a few years ago. Now my favourite distance is the half marathon. It does get easier, stick with it. Aside from running, I love reading forensic type crime stories such as those by Kathy Reichs, and training my dogs. I used to learn the bagpipes but stopped when I had my children - bagpipe practice just isn't compatible with sleeping babies |

I had to do 2 miles the other day and I have to admit that I needed to walk twice for 1 minute each time, but I still did pretty well. I remember at the beginning though when I had to run 3 whole minutes at a time I was having trouble, so I know I'll be fine.

My hobbies are knitting (yes, I'm under 40 and knit, which means I have weapons, so hush), blogging about marriage/family, watching movies, making jewelry and enjoying my kids, grandkids and family. My better half enjoys all things guns (shooting/building), cars, tattoos (yes his hobby is getting them), and shows that relate to all of the above.

Nothing better than sitting IM'ing with a ciggy, cuppa' tea, two sugars and some music. Other things include stock car racing (which I do myself), rally, formula 1, repairing cars and computers, fishing, and just general chilling, seeing the family etc... @Mwind076, I think she means "screw" as in a phillips screw driver, likes unscrewing and screwing things. This isn't getting any better. Ahh, screwing is fun. |

Great thread.. thanks, Nathan! Thanks, everyone who shared so far. It's cool to see what y'all are into, outside of business and money. My hobbies include: - Training American Pit Bulls to be breed ambassadors and therapy dogs - Full contact or Adult flag football with guys in my community - Riding dirt bikes/motocross - Reading and self-education/personal programming - Hypnosis (certified practitioner) I'm an artist... my cousin and I really love spending time expressing our gifts and talents through writing, dancing, singing and music. My biggest passion is playing the drum set. Has been my whole life! I spend hours and hours behind the kit and I'm working towards having music as my full-time focus and income source. |

I'm from Colorado so I like the outdoors. Fishing, mountains, things like that. I also like to travel a lot. Been to 30+ countries and next trip will be November to the Western Caribbean. Mostly I like getting 'out there' with my wife and 3 kids. They're who this is all about

My biggest hobbies..... 1. Learning. I often surf the net to 2am when I need to be up at 6am just because I get caught up in something. It can be forums, wikis, and hell even TV shows or documentaries (online or on TV itself). 2. Driving: I've always been a lover of cars so I love just getting in my Corvette, putting the top down, and driving for like 4 hours. Combining these two often leads me on trips to stop at stores and restaurants I have never been to. I go "shopping" a lot but seldom buy things. I was a retail manager for years and love the visual marketing that takes place in retail stores. Sometimes they give me ideas. Other times I look and know I could change a few minor things and increase sales. I know that sounds bit weird but it's how my mind works. 3. I like giving advice. I really do. In real life and on forums I spend a lot of my time offering advice based on my knowledge and experience. 4. I like to debate which goes hand and hand with giving advice at times. |

Some interesting stuff here. I practice a martial art called Ba Gua. I have a vast business library that takes up some time reading. I used to collect old "Pulp' magazines, but I sold my collection (The Shadow, Doc Savage, etc.) My business is actually my hobby. Speaking, training, selling is all enjoyable to me. I enjoy political debates to study the principles employed. No sports. I find magic fascinating. I have a friend that is a professional magician and stage hypnotist. We have fascinating conversations. Out of my element, I'm pretty boring. |

| OP great thread, While engaging on a forum is hard, it is nice putting some personality to usernames. (guess it's the old face to a name) I myself, martial arts and hockey. Yea kinda both brutal, but completely different sides of the coin. I have been in karate since I was 5yrs old, and sooooo love it. I wish MMA was around back in my day. LoL Hockey, well, I find it to be one of the best individualistic team sports there is. Plus a good check really gets you out of your seat. Kids are more of my job. (can I get heck ya?!) just a job that brings lots and lots of smiles. |

I was recently at a large marketing event with about 1,000 in attendance. The speaker asked "How many here have a brown belt or better in a martial art?" About 25% raised their hands. He said that less than 1% of a general population has serious martial arts training. Business owners tend to gravitate to it. |

Great thread - I've really enjoyed reading it ![]() I don't get to do so much these days as I have a very active almost 2 year old. Recently I have decided to make the most of my previous life as a newspaper editor, so have launched a copywriting business that is keeping me quite busy, too! When I do get time though, my first passion is and always will be horse riding. I used to compete a lot in dressage and the odd bit of show jumping, though since moving to the UK I can no longer afford to have horses. I also enjoy photography, ballroom dancing and lately I have been pretty into fitness. I am currently in the process of overcoming the feeling of intimidation I get as the only woman at my gym who uses the free weights room, and once I'm done having kids I plan on going all out and working towards my all time peak fitness level/physique. I really enjoy learning about nutrition, and I guess that ties in pretty well with my interest in fitness! I love languages too, and am contemplating learning Spanish or French sometime soon. I already speak (or rather, did speak - I'm forgetting slowly!) Japanese, but I haven't had the opportunity to use it for quite a while though I have an odd habit of scribbling in Japanese while I'm on the phone |
