The best place to outsource social media management...?

Hi all,

I've been doing offline marketing for a while now, so far so good...
I'm mostly selling mobile websites, however, a client of mine has now asked me for social media management. I don't have time to handle that myself at the moment. Does anyone know where I could outsource a service like this? And what's the average price people charge their clients?

Thanks!

Sylvia

I've found some of the best outsourcers here on the forum, if you're looking for quality services. Be sure to hire someone reputable who provides quality work - and when getting quotes, remember that you get what you pay for. Typically, it's best to let your expenses cut into your profits a bit as long as the work provided is quality.

Another place to look would be hiring a freelancer on oDesk - but you're going to have to wade through a lot of crap to find a good contractor.

Thx! I was thinking about Odesk and Elance too, but as you said, a lot of crap on there...

I'm sure there are plenty of great managers here on the forum but, I would suggest still doing all the strategy yourself and setting up tools so you can outsource when the posts go up and responses to the content.

Some things I would suggest putting together would be a brand voice document, include things like customer service responses, tone, and lots of examples! Content strategy for each platform, you can outsource content ideation but stay involved in that process. You should know your brand best. Even when I come up with most of the ideas for clients for our content documents I still keep them highly involved in that process.

For outsourcing different tasks, I love Odesk. But definitely pay attention to who you hire and ask them good questions if you need more then brainless tasks or ones that require unique skills.

I may have to check that out. Thanks for the tip. ODesk is not that bad. I've had fair share both of good and bad services there.

Don't you love it when you ask for recommendations here on the forum and 90% of the replies aren't relevant or self promotional... Check these guys out, I just started a few campaigns with them, and they have a kick ass cpanel/dashboard that your clients can log into in real time and see stats, scheduled posts, etc. Not an affliate, just like their value. I'm Richard from Retortal.com - firstly, thanks to Matt Lee for recommending us, we started getting sign ups mentioning Warrior Forum, so many thanks for that - I can't find you in our CRM so I'm not sure who you are... PM me and I'd love to discount your next few sales by way of thanks.

also - I've posted a WSO (warrior special offer - that's probably obvious to you guys... it took me a while to figure out!) - free setup on your first 10 accounts sold - an exclusive WF offer.

I found my social media manager through Task Army believe it or not. Of course, the site is very reliable, so it is easy to find somebody on there to outsource something like SSM to. One girl I have only charged me like $5 an hour, but I pay her a good $8 on the days when she is working for multiple clients of mine.

Try TaskArmy. The site is very responsive, and it works quicker too than most bidding sites because there is no need for bidding or anything.
