Request: How can I get classmates to click through my site??

Everyday in class I watch as my friends browse Amazon and buy things. I'm looking for suggestions on how to get them to choose to click through my blog...rather than going straight to Amazon? Any ways you guys know of to harness social media most effectively for this purpose? They're all around me buying things everyday without going through my site!!

    What's in it for them?

    What is your blog about, why would they want to visit your blog rather than go directly to Amazon?

    You must find a way to add value. Consider a bonus offer, or get creative. Offer to contribute a portion of each sale to a school party at the end of the month, semester, or year. Offer prizes to be selected from a drawing each month, and every purchase gets an entry in the drawing.

    There are virtually unlimited ways to add value. But don't stop there, setup a student buying club and offer free membership to anyone that refers 3 or more members that signup. It could go viral and you'd be sitting on a small fortune in commissions.

      Those are some really great ideas!

      Actually, the act of posting that request really got me thinking about the issue more critically and I landed at a place where I was telling myself, "ADD VALUE STUPID" Duh. I guess I just hadn't really stepped into the "Warrior" mindset until I made my first post on the Warrior Forum

    Put up flyers and post cards wherever allowed - especially since you attend
    courses there. Come up with an irresistible offer.

    One of the things you can do to have your classmates and friends visit your site is to provide them valuable information (information that they really need). For example, you could post reviews about particular products that they can buy on Amazon. Most of the time, people would search for reviews about the product they are looking to buy before making a purchase. If they find your site valuable to them and something where they could find information about the things they are likely to buy at Amazon or at other e-commerce sites, then they will likely visit and check the reviews on your site first before going to Amazon to make a purchase.

    How about photos of your school from the past? maybe photos of old teachers, everyone likes to reminisce. Host them on your site and post the link where your classmates go..Facebook etc, then they click through to your site and see all the lovely goodies you have prepared for them
