What is the correct way of setting up a Facebook Page for a Client?

Should I set it up under my name first and then make my client an Admin, Or ??

Also, what do most consultants charge for this service?

Appreciate your help.

Don't be logged in to your personal acct. At the bottom of the Facebook main page is "create page." Do that as a business page for your clients. You'll need a separate email address for this, but you can create as many as you want.

The functionality is a bit more limited than using a personal account, but this keeps things separate. And you can add managers (your clients) if they "like" the page so if you ever need to part ways...

I don't do a lot of facebook page setup stuff for clients but when I do it's usually part of a complete package. I PREFER that they already attempt to create a page and make me an admin, if not, PBMax's suggestion is right on.

Yes, I guess that's another way, as long as they don't think its too easy and cut me out...lol.

What sort pricing do you offer, are you able to share, so I get an idea of what others are charging?

Well I don't ever sell it al la carte, so I'm not the best to answer that question. I'll use it as a feature or benefit in choosing a higher SEO or Web Design package.

All you're doing is setting it up, and customizing? Or are you implementing a social media strategy? I can't really imagine charging much for the setup and customization.

Yeah i pretty much do the same thing - setup & customization is something I package with other services like SEO or a SMM campaign. It's also something I'll use as a bargaining chip.- For instance, if someone's on the fence about moving forward, i'll tell them that if they proceed today, I'll include a "social media setup & branding" upgrade - normally $299 There's a lot of percieved value there but it costs me like $20 & 2 hours of my time.

I look at the answer to this in this manor. At some point sooner or later statistics say the client is going to leave. The cleaner and easier you can make that break the better.
