  Yeah, I'm pretty sure you didn't do that because I know you would have found TONS of information that's been written about your question by MANY long time members over the past few years.
  
  None of those members bother to reply to questions like yours because they've all answered them countless times before and they don't think it's unreasonable to expect a newer member so use the SEARCH feature to find the answer to their pressing questions.

Postcards are great to use for promotion and most companies will design them for you.
If you don't know what to write on the postcard or flyer, go google some images for people selling weight loss products to get an idea.
You may also look into buying a mailing list of people interested in health products/weight loss products. This could be very profitable for you if done correctly.

Cold calling is the best method of cold calling. I don't know how else you would cold call...

To the OP: Be careful about cold calling. I would think there are better avenues due to most people having cell phones and/or being on the DNC list.

I would stick with flyers, postcards, and possibly FB ads depending upon your product(s).

These threads make me sick. 'How can I make money online'. Like someone's going to hand you a method and you can start making easy money tomorrow.

No wonder internet marketing has such a bad name. People thinks it's some great, unlimited resource to 'make money'.

There are millions of lame ways to 'make money online'. Don't expect to make anything consistent that can make you a real living until you start to shift your mindset to that of rational, serious business person who understands there is going to be a lot of work involved to build a business online.

To the OP, I think what people are trying to say in what seems like a harsh way is to get out there and try some things yourself. You seem to be asking for everything instead of coming here and telling us what you tried, what you found, and where you need help. People like to help, but they don't necessarily like to build someone's business from the ground. They like to offer suggestions to tweak something that exists. So do some digging, look around at others that have had success in your niche, and get in the game. Then come back and ask for help, not for everything.

Just let me clear some things for the people that are "sick" of people like me and love to attack the newbies...

1- I already have a job, this is some extra money on the side that I want to make.

2- Yes I REALLY used the search function of the forum, I just couldn't find exactly what I wanted.

3- Sometimes the answers you find in the search result are outdated and won't work anymore.

and lets be honest here, which is the easier and less time consuming option? argue back and forth about using this forum to find information or to actually just help the person asking for help?

There is no getting through to people here no matter what tack you take. If you pour out everything you know on a subject, people are going to say thanks and just ignore what you say anyway and crack on with their intent, if it's not what they want to hear.

If you try to point out how silly the 'fast, easy money' delusion is, in frank terms, again the point is not taken on board.

If you took on board what I said, it would help you. It would do that whether people kissed you ass or not. You'd start looking at finding real business models and wealth generator, which invariably take time, money and effort to build, and not any 'hot' biz opp that's free, easy and 'makes money'.

I'm sick of seeing the mindset because it reminds I'm on a place where everything is geared towards encouraging that in newbies so others here can sell junk to them and take advantage of the. You'll see a hundred headlines with ''make $248.99 dollars by next week'', cos some guy hit a rare payday after many months of getting nowhere and would now rather sell some crap wso to others because that's an easier way to make money than the method he finally managed to wring some cash of it. It's a con. Absolutely. The real people will teach who to grow a business here. A long term one. But it will still take time and money, trial and error, above ordinary commitment, drive and focus.

Every headline in the WSO section, apart from a few, are geared toward hooking people like that in. I'm not sick of you personally. It's the cretins who create that mindset with the abuse of copywriting principles to convince people of 'make thousands next week', I'm sick of. The people who cause the mindset. We've all been there. If you study copy, it's basically psychologically manipulation in written form.

Manipulation has negative connotations but there are ethical ways to do (when you are telling the truth and have a good product), and then there is the unethical. I think most people on the WF are so deluded, they actually think their product is great and they're not being unethical. It's just they are absolutely clueless about business principles are just easy money biz op seekers.

Point is, most of what you see here is absolute bullshit. Stop thinking in terms of someone show me how to make money, and start looking to educate yourself and find the right thing for you to go into business with.

Or don't. It's up to you.

Hard to beat what was posted by Underground...

I will offer an avenue of advice if you really intend to blitz on this weight loss program deal.

there's three groups of people you should speak with regarding this, that will give you all the answers.

1.You want to ask the hardcore gym goers (the supplement buyers) what their experience is like with fat.
and let the conversation go from there.

2.you want to ask the same question of people who are stationary in their roles in life, who carry "just a little bit" of fat, to make themselves feel uncomfortable, and look slightly overweight but not obese, these are what I call the "lifestyle chubbies" or the skinny-fat crowd, of men, who look skinny in the arms, but fat in the gut. these are your average 9-5 people.

3. finally, you want to ask the same question to the chronically obese and morbidly overweight people, who nothing works for, cant stick to a diet or exercise plan, who eat to cope, who have serious body image issues, etc. and likely some psychological issues at this point from years of living this way.

thats your 3 target markets. your conversations with the 3 will give all you need as far as inspiration and idea for sales copy for your flyer or whatever.

once you have that, by the way, thats called market research, you want to poll those groups of people as to what their previous buying habits were, and what they would be wiling to purchase moving forward. thats also market research.

from there you will know pricing info, demand, and creative for your product.

once you have done all that, come back here, post the details of your findings, hire a warrior to write the sales copy for you, another one to do web design and promote it, etc. I'll volunteer to help write copy if you'd really like. Not for free ofcourse, as this is a forum that encourages entrepreneurship, this is about all the free advice you should need.

If after doing all of that unpaid market research, you feel that your venture is possibly lucrative, then you will likely have what it takes to actually break even in this pursuit. And thats where more work (and hopefully fun) begins.

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it...I mean all I was asking was what to put on a flyer, I'm promoting an affiliate weight loss product for women, and I just wanted to know from people's experience what worked for them and what didn't so maybe I won't make the same mistakes people made, that's all, I been doing research prior to joining this forum....but just wanted some advice from the "experienced" members, I didn't expect an attack LOL but thanks underground you're post says a lot.

So you see there's a huge difference between your very first post which does not clearly communicate what the second post I've quoted does.

So can you see how your first post looks like you want the copy for your flyer handed to you by some one else on a silver platter?

Also, I still believe your asking for help in the wrong forums. The topics here are related to providing marketing services to local small businesses, not promoting affiliate offers to consumers.

Hi...back to your original question.....are you putting an affiliate link on the flyer? I would think you would have to have a direct url/landing page link there....maybe make a qr code for it?

The graphics from the weight loss product affiliate banners and/or website would probably be the easiest way to go

You can probably "sweet talk" some gyms, salons, etc into letting you leave your flyers there

One thing to remember - lots of products are in the stores now, easy to buy. I used to promote those free trials years ago when they were free trials but now they mostly suck IMHO - they make the customer get a "return" number, send back the product and are really pretty sketchy.

So...you might get some to try it but after one round you probably will find some of those places - gyms, salons - won't want your flyers

You give people what they want, and make your products visible. (Ebay/Classifieds/Flyers) For instance, if you are selling iPhones - people want those. If you are selling weight loss pills - nobody wants that JUNK unless it has huge social proof and credibility (TV personality endorses) other than that people want what is already popular. Making a product famous is the same as getting famous as a person - it's an uphill battle. Good LUCK.

What product are you planning on selling? You should be able to find key points for taking it from where you joined or a related product. I tried Zija for a little while but didn't have much luck because it was too expensive even though it was a great product. I would recommend taking your product yourself, so that you can be your own testimonial plus using business cards and talking to people that you know. The only problem with this is that most people don't want to try something until they see proof that you are making money or they can make more than they have to invest.

Hey

I make money offline selling english language courses to students. It works very well for me as i am not in an english speaking country, but this could be replaced by another language as long as there is a demand for it where you live.

I have been using flyers to attract students and last week we pulled in $500 using this method so it worked.I targeted colleges and local employers with lots of employees.You need to be super targeted and your message on your flyer needs to capture attention and follow AIDA.

A- Grab Attention
I- Capture interest from prospect
D- Create desire from prospect
A- Have a call to Action .. eg phone number, email address, website address etc.

If you follow this rule you can't go wrong.Hope this helps.
