Marketing strategies selling large quantities of organic products to major outlets

Hi, I was recommended to visit this forum group by a marketing friend of mine said their where a lot of knowledgable people in the world of marketing here. I specialize in producing video content and viral marketing techniques; however I lack the ability to connect with large scale companies to sell products in large quantities. Currently I have connections with an organic honey producer that can provide me with large quantities of honey. I know how to market organic raw honey in fact the organic market is expected to reach 215 billion soon estimating a growth of %25 every year as I last heard. But my goal is to tap in to the major cities particularly LA SF and las vegas. I know their are farmers markets in las vegas and I hear las vegas consumes an unreal amount of food particularly high quality food as well as LA being health conscious. While I plan to sell online to consumers using an E-commerce website and produce videos to direct people to the product online I want to stay away from television adds and the all so expensive focused mail marketing. and this is where I am hoping the warrior forum can help me as how to connect with large upscale restaurants you see in las vegas, retail chains and food producers. I guess those are three different tactics but I really want to sell in large quantities. like 100,000 units of 16 oz bottles of honey a year or 55 gallons at a time to food producers that use honey in their recipe. I have other organic products that are already able to market and sell but I want to tackle honey because it seems the easiest market to tackle in the organic sector. Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

The biggest companies will most likely have
there own buying team and standard practices
all suppliers have to go through.

This means calling them up and ask what is
their procedure and who best to talk their about it?

Does this apply to say major hotels in las vegas? and if I do follow their standard practices do I need someone who has a reputation and if so how do I work with that. I read on line that major supermarket food chains take advantage of startup producers and distributers. Not sure how to avoid that train reck.

Major hotels are likely part of a national or international chain of them.

Some even have another company doing the supply management
which then gets even more difficult for a start-up to get in.

They want to know your financial strength and ability to fund large quantities.

financial strength? what kind of proof would you need for that and why would financial strength be a aspect of me selling a product? I mean aren't they the hotel chain buying from me? I can easily prove my ability to produce quantities so I am expecting that for sure. BTW thank you for guiding me threw this.

The financial strength is a issue for them because they know a supplier has production, storage and distribution costs and cashflow problems
may cause an ability to supply large enough quantities when they want them.

Knowing this may mean you need to target those
who don't have those tough requirements.
