is it me - or are the conversations on the upswing?

Its obviously still slow in here;

However the quality appears to be getting better again.
This is the longest I have ever witnessed the "dead / dumb / sig spam " last.

Long enough that I was beginning to wonder if it was going to bounce back this time.

anyway ... I hope it continues and now that the dumb has drizzled off
ill try to do more on my end.

Yep, I've noticed the same. It is more fun now than it was there for a while. I actually went a day or two without coming here and didn't miss a thing, and now it has picked way up. Much more fun this way. I'm sure that some might be searching for some higher level business conversations, but to me it's all just business and I have fun even if I'm not participating actively so long as there's something going on here.

    • glad you chimed in Ken.

      I hope so.

to me some threads are " drilling down " in good ways.

maybe down the road, threads that can run longer, will become more "high level"

business discussions and develop in ways that excite all of us.

      I could use it.

and, you have true Warriors like UMC telling his experience today on another thread.

Well I figure I'm going to use the decline in activity to start my own posts and softly promote posts in my blog until there is more activity here... how's that for disclosure? LMAO...

Really though, it was very bleak here in the offline section for a couple months at least. It looks like the quality is slowly increasing along with activity. Hopefully that trend continues.

It's definitely looking better than it has been.

    • I am looking to do a case study on selling and sales funnels.

      on the phone mostly,

documenting by text posts, video, real #'s, etc..,

so the thread maintains itself through time (the real sales cycles),

I think we have all noticed, members saying they will do a marketing strategy, and can come back and provide results.

      But, they don't come back!

do you think this idea has legs?
      would provide value?
would boost the "quality" of this sub-forum?

criticism is appreciated, since failure is mandatory, when I'm selling.
or any questions are really helpful.

      and remember,

there are no stupid questions, just stupid people asking questions - I love that line

One thing that worked for years in a publication I read was the "Nightmare on Frame Street" series. Shop owners shared how they'd stuffed something up big time.

People may be less inclined to share what is really woking for them but they might share their marketing nightmares.

I'd be happy to share a bit of both good and bad and record some content.

I guess the fear of failure is more powerful than the joy of success.

The only other issue is if you were sharing confidential material that could damage reputations etc.

        Hard in a public forum

I have a few good, and a boatload of the bad and the ugly ...

It's funny, the other day I saw a thread of people listing some of there success
and I thought to myself -

A thread of failures and what was done to over come them might be more helpful.

You might want to ask management about that.
It might fall under "follow me" threads which I believe are/were not allowed.

As far as I am concerned thou - Anything to get this sub forum back on track is a good thing in my eyes.

I used to have to make a metal note NOT to visit here so much that my work would suffer.

Now I have to make a mental note just to remember to visit and see whats happening.

          change is good.

          never seen it before.

          Ken,

Legal consideration - I can post replys and video's

I don't even know what a thread "follow me" is.
