Slow jogger to print URL on back or front of t-shirt?

I jog around at the park a lot and was planning to print website URL on the t-shirt.

Should i put my website address on front or back of the tshirt?

I was thinking url at back and logo in front left.

Any other advice?

Cheers,
Thakkar

You'll be utterly wasting your time.

You need to think, at the very least, in terms of these two elements:

    1. Targeting.
    2. Volume.

    Save your money.

What's wrong with front and back?

What's the url on a t-shirt going to accomplish?

If you run around the same park, how many people will see it? How many are likely to be interested? Why the URL only?

I mean, if it's worth advertising, isn't it worth doing it well?

Me and my team provide website design and graphics design services. Most people need that.
I am living in one of the most populous cities in the world and have a short domain so...

I want to keep it subtle. I do not wish to look like a human billboard.
Right, Why the url only? -> Below the back of the t-shirt where i print my domain, I plan to put a line of what we do.

I get the volume part (t-shirts is one of the best ways to get a message seen, when it comes to promotional products), don't get the targeting part. Not everybody needs graphic design, some of those who need it don't want it, some of those who want it don't want to pay for it, some don't want to pay enough.

I think you're offering one of those products that easily speaks for itself, so a sample with a URL will work better.

Anyway, why not test various ways of doing it? When you find one that's better than the others, you run with that one (pun intended).

Best of luck, but it won't work. You're not targeting, you're not getting volume (no matter how populated your jogging route), and people simply do not take notice of whatever is written on a jogger's t-shirt. Wasted energies. Report back with super results and prove me wrong.

You'd be better off printing off 500 flyers and going on your little stroll in the park at about 3AM.

Wear some latex gloves and litter the absolute shit out of the park.

There is a bit more to marketing than targeting, there is consistency. This concept plays to consistency and brand recognition. Sure your running in the park and who knows if any one that sees the shirt needs your services right then and there. BUT day in and day out the same people see the shirt, and that day comes they are at the office and someone says "Do we know anyone that does web design?" and guess what? you wearing that shirt pays off.

I don't think its a matter of WHY would you do that... its a matter of why are you not already doing it.

I wear personally branded shirts / hats basically 20 hours a day - EVERY day. I drive a branded vehicle every where I go. I have the luxury of having 4 other vehicles branded and on the roads as well. With the exception of one of my employees they all have branded vehicles. and ALL of them wear branded shirts / hats.

I will tell you this.. its NOT a requirement... ( I actually do not have employees..I have sub contractors so it REALLY is not a requirement - They ask for a shirt.. I'll give them one ) They simply see the value in it. They have heard the phone calls, "I saw a truck with your number" or "I was in WalMart, and spoke to so and so" - how did that conversation start? It started from a shirt.

This is NOT direct advertising.. it is more of a branding method. and I personally would say go for it!

As to the location of the tag. I 100% use the back of the shirt, with a small logo on the front left - with 1 exception. Long sleeve shirts that get layered I place the URL / Business name ( one or the other ) down the right sleeve.

      Hope that Helps!

Maybe it will help, maybe it wont. I am not saying this is my marketing campaign or a big advertising budget will be spent on this. I buy a $10 puma tshirt on sale to wear it for jogging or get a $10 unbranded tshirt with my website on it for the same purpose; it is not such a hard decision. I am not saying i will get 100s of orders like this but i guess there is no harm in trying and seeing what happens. Lets see...

I came off all wrong before. I'm honestly not trying to be rude. Seriously. I don't think it will work, but it's just a guess (having never tried it). The biggest problem you have is the subliminal factor. Writing on t-shirts, especially on a jogger's, goes unnoticed. As someone mentioned, you'd get better results with flyers (I think). I've never tried this method, like I say, so everything I'm saying is just guess work. Reason I initially posted was just to save you time. Anyway - apologies if I came across the wrong way. Heck with it - give it a bash.

Thanks, I am going to try it out

You mean you put up number as well?

I am thinking of putting logo, url and services on half sleeve t-shirt.

I personally place a LOGO and then have the company name, the phone number and the web address on the shirts. When I do the long sleeve I use either the Company name, or the Web Address.
