Best local SEO on the Warrior Forum?

Hey folks,

I'm looking for a new SEO provider to outsource my SEO to. I have a bit of a stubborn niche that my usual providers aren't getting my client onto the first page for.

If you guys could recommend someone from here on the WF or elsewhere that's great at ranking for local terms, let me know.

Thanks.

Of course assuming you've weighed all the pros and cons of outsourcing and are set on hiring somebody than I'd recommend SEO service agents. Pricing is good. Service is good. Results are good. http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...ce-around.html

There are a few guys in the WF that are said to be really good. Some of the best free advice I've received is from Mike Freidman. His site is TheSEOPub.com.

Also, iamnameless (Nathan) has a lot of experience with local.

I would second iAmNameless.. check out his blog for some insight into local search pack results. ( incomebully.com ) pretty interesting breakdowns on what is working / not working.

Thanks savidge for helping me put the puzzle together.

Nathan posted at my forum and linked to one of his incomebully posts.
Didn't realize Nathan = iAmNameless. Now I now!

I'm enjoying his pack breakdown posts too. Good stuff!

I don't know if Linda (Catalyst eMarketing) is still taking clients or not, but that is who I would recommend.

I'm a frequent stalker of her forum. Few people stay on top of local search like she does.

Thanks for the kind words Mike. I try hard and help so many people at my forum and the Google forum, and learn more than the average bear that way I guess. And like to try to share everything I discover along the way.

FYI, you should go from stalker/lurker to being active over at my place.

I'm pretty busy, but sometimes do refer clients to my partner. Depends on the niche and I don't know enough about this one.

  • IAmNameLess always has a lot of great tips for getting on the right path with local SEO. Local SEO is very tricky because it's tough to know which keywords to try and rank for. Before paying anybody on here, ask them for potential advice and tips on the best keywords to go for. They should be able to easily let you know which keywords will benefit your client the best. Just head down to the warriors for hire section and read the reviews to get a feel for what others on here are saying about them.

haha thanks for the shout out guys. Marc actually messaged me on skype before posting this thread (I think) and there's no one I could really recommend for his exact situation. I think it's kind of a lost cause.

Another place that I hadn't thought of, because the question was "on the Warrior Forum", is the "Local Client Takover" guys. They're giving away their complete video course on local SEO in their Faceook group a below.

I swear that this is not an affiliate link. It's simply a link to a group with free information about local SEO. Mods, please remove it if you don't want it posted here.

Local SEO is comparatively easy than general SEO, because you have a specific area, state or city to target for your business. Before hiring any SEO expert you should ask him/her previous work because it will help you to clear the image.

Yes comparatively local is easier BUT it's really complicated and hard to do it right and stay within Google Local guidelines.

So be sure whoever you hire to do Local really KNOWS local. Many companies are more regular SEOs that dabble in local. There is a difference.

There are some reputable people on this site. Just be careful not to choose the lowest priced provider. Good people aren't cheap because they know they can deliver. There are lots of people that offer SEO that are great sales people with the ability to pitch and promise, but they really know little about SEO.

Many SEO people will not promise results, they will only promise that they will work on your site for a specific number of hours. Personally, I think that these types of deals are crap. When you buy SEO you want to pay for a result and not a guess at what someone "thinks" might bring you traffic and rankings.

I've used a few people here and iamnamesless is the only guy that ever looked at one of my sites and didn't make predictions of huge rankings boost. He didn't even try to sell me. Just gave me some free advice. That's the 1st time that's ever happened before. I once paid for a 2 hour Skype consultation for copy writing help with a pretty respected guy on this board. I ended up listening to an endless pitch trying to sell me SEO....................... from a guy that I had never heard mention the topic before. Odd!
