Offline Success Formula! a FREE Guide

Hi...

PS I'LL SAY IT AGAIN.... IMHO any offline biz requires some sales skills (phone and/or in person)
and also some actual offering that will benefit the client

just some random thoughts but free advice - take it or leave it or go look for the next guru or bright shiny object and then whine and complain LOL

I think people who tried "online" ppc, affiliate stuff turn to "offline" in the idea it will be easier...in some ways I guess it is but here are some ideas to actually start making money online (not saying you will sell websites for $75000 LOL)

>>> what skills do YOU have?

I worked on and off in phone sales....appt setting....and managed and owned a phone room in the 90's (learned phone skills)

>> What business do YOU know?

that is a great place to start. I was a lic cosmetologist, didn't like working in salons so got into sales...sold spa equipment, machines...got into promoting and marketing spas and salons (learned biz to biz, in person sales techniques here)

Although I have moved along to other (more lucrative) areas I do have some other niches I became "semi expert" at a few others

Basically - start with what you know
use the skills you have

don't have skills? then you really need to learn some

take a course, online or offline, and learn something salable -

One good way to learn sales and make some money while you are at it is to get a j-o-b in sales....

phone rooms will hire warm bodies - many part time
you will learn (or they will make you leave LOL)

biz to biz sales - hook up with a local (wholesale printer) , coupon book, or other service and learn how to sell. Don't go with some other wannabe on craigslist...go with a pretty decent size company with a sales manager, sales training, sales "material"

You will learn a lot about cold calling, appointments, meetings, giving presentations,
answering objections,

working with a printer teaches you stuff about layouts, sizes,"bleed" , camera ready, various graphic formats and such.

I personally don't believe in "internships" (hate the term) unless it is some huge company and even then they pay them - the Irs is cracking down on this and I hope they get rid of the greedy grubs who look for free workers hahah

all too many local butts try to get slave labor on craigsist...flag them and move along LOL

however....you could get a J-O-B in a graphic agency, webdesign, digital agency and learn ON the (paid) job...it may not be great money but it is something

all the while you should be networking....joining groups...have your own biz cards, website, social media, LinkedIn

Develop some relationships - I don't do "computer repair" or "IT" work, nor do I set up complex databases, commerce sites, etc....but I know people who do and will pay referral fee or percent

If you work for some agency or magazine or printer - make sure you are not stepping on their toes...let them know you will sell "mobile" or whatever on the side

don't steal their list - local is local - people know each other, they know more than you and word will get out

What I see here is people who really have not much to offer going from idea to idea, looking for a free easy way to make big bucks....with no thought as how.
and NO idea how to sell

You are ripe for slick people who also probably can't and don't sell offline but who have figured a way to put together a slick ad page for their "dun for ya" biz in a box idea, usually some twist on older ideas....they make endless umm uh...duh...videos and get all sorts of dreamers and fiverrs to "endorse" and pizimp them LOL

Take a good look at some of the "advice" here....is it from someone selling what they are telling you works? LOL
Is the person who asks for real basic help and having no luck promoting some pie in the sky scheme in their sig> :::??

Think about it - what do you know, who do you know, what can you offer to HELP local biz....
if you are lacking....what do you want to learn, and how can you gain experience through a job, part time or commission or whatever

Good Luck

PS I'LL SAY IT AGAIN.... IMHO any offline biz requires some sales skills (phone and/or in person)
and also some actual offering that will benefit the client

    Why?
Because you did not present a way to make $9,997 by pushing a button following a simple system that is on sale today for $7 ;-)

    Reality is harsh.
I make pretty good money online but all I really did was trade making really good money that I was making as an employee in large corporations from skills that took time and effort to learn and applied those with new ones along the way to working for myself.

Obviously if I was able to manage development teams in a corporate setting it was not much of a stretch to running a virtual online business.

I will also say however that I have bought pretty much every WSO you can imagine from people that laser focus in different areas and it is rather rare that I do not extract a nugget that makes it more than worth my while BUT I do not of course by the WSO expecting that a few bucks will make me rich, I just hope to learn a bit more.

      Thanks Peter

You seem to offer many realistic and well thought posts ....and it is easy to see that you actually work "offline" (online too maybe?)

You say "skills" that you learned offline...that is just so important.
I see alot of people here with virtually NO skills that just want to make some "muny" and so they jump from idea to idea, hoping to get some local biz owner to pay them and then they plan to rush over to fiverr and source it out or whatever.

Probably many of the wso's ideas did or can make money but at some point you have to have some skill something to offer...you can't just jump on a bandwagon and hope that someone will give you money and then you figure it out.

And in order to "sell" it , to actually close the deal you need some sales skills.

lol, She is asking us to push 10 buttons and potentially make a lot more than $9,997, and giving it all away for free.

      Priceless..

Why'd you recommend LinkedIn lol. Does anything actually productive go on there or is it all still spam?

LinkedIn is very valuable, you can reach decision makers, you can intelligently promote yourself,
and make good contacts, join networking groups (local), and more. It is great for offline marketers.

However, the tactics I see people use here won't fly there. It is not a place to sell a "clickbank product"...it is a great place to get work if you have something to offer = web design, computer skills,
    graphics, social media etc
