"I found you on Instagram" Offline Instagram Niches List - Please add to & help brainstorm $ ideas

[Copied this from my self same thread in Social Media sub-forum as think its more offline oriented than social media maybe?]

Hey folks, just wanted to inspire some of you to go out there and get some mo' money and also brainstorm strategies because I truly believe Instagram is going to be huge - This Instagram craze is just getting better every day! A big light went on when I set up an offline niche Instagram account, started following keyword targeted accounts and got a phone call literally within 5 days. "I found you on Instagram"!!! Made a sale there and then. Haven't looked back since then, that was all the confirmation I needed that Instagram is MASSIVE - UPDATE have had several more "I found you on Instagram" calls. I rest my case. Muhahaha Kah Ching!

But people, and there is a BUT, IG is only suitable for certain niches, and I wanted to create this thread to mastermind Insta for OFFLINE niches. Q. What defines a good offline Instagram niche? A. That it's VISUAL. That you can keep uploading images and videos that are attractive to the eye, sharable, and relate to the business. And no, you don't need thousands of followers to make a sale/ find customers and clients/ get enquiries, you just need to find targeted accounts through keywords and/or followers of a big account in your niche AND FOLLOW THEM.

Here's my initial list (in no particular order) - please help and brainstorm this baby with me:-

      That would be an idea, but I would not do that without having a clear understanding of how this was going to make you money. Do you own a dance company in Kansas City?

      How about applying this to offline clients that you already have existing relationships with who fall in the niche list above? That would be something that could be banked relatively easily.

    My friend has an instagram, and she wont tell me what the username is. She said she would give me $20 if I find out what it is. She doesn't have her name on the account. Her account is about quotes. How would I find her account? Please help!

    I have read your post twice and am slightly puzzled. What I cannot get my head around is 'offline instagram', what on earth does that mean?

    I'd be grateful if you'd explain in straight forward English.(without internet marketing lingo).I'm very novice to this..

    He is referring to using Instagram to promote offline businesses.

    Example: Create an active Instagram channel showcasing artistic fingernail designs for a Nail Salon.

    Something to stir potential clients imaginations and get them to call for an appointment.

      And if you are using that Instagram account actively and hash tagging relevant keywords and locations, AS WELL AS following local (and niche) instagram accounts this creates targeted LEADS, and some leads become customers.

    It really doesn't matter whether he is promoting his signature or not, there are some very good niches in this list. To be honest, there's a few I have never thought of approaching before, and I have been in this business for a long time. So yeah, even though he is trying to promote something, there is still some value in what he shared.

    I highly recommend using instagram because of the amounts of new biz owners using it to help build a part of their web presence. The key is really just to approach specific niches. Only visual biz owners will benefit from this.

    Thanks @internetmarketer1 for seeing through the obvious to what this thread is offering others. It has taken me years to get onto instagram, but so glad I have done as it's just like you said - there are a TON of new business owners on IG and certainly not seen any offline marketers on it yet, but the truth is that most who get this far in reading the thread won't go further than making a note or two about IG.
    I tell you, I am doing quite a bit IG and I am bowled over by how little competition there is and how easy it is. I was doing marketing on Facebook back in 2009 and saw the potential then, but still could not conceive of how it would be in 2015. IG will make some offline businesses fortunes (it already is, I read a post by an owner of a fashion shop in San Francisco who said that MOST of his customers now come through IG. Those who execute well, will bank well.

      Do you have any suggestions when it comes to pricing? Managing a instagram account is pretty time consuming, especially in the beginning process, so what's a good rate to offer clients when offering this service?

    I really started paying attention to Instagram after a Shopify business contest winner heavily used Instagram to promote her business.

    I found my beautician and a personal trainer via Instagram. There is a yoga instructor that I follow, but she's on the East Coast. If she was in Southern California, I would take her classes in a heartbeat. Instagram can be a gold mine for local businesses. I haven't figured out how to use it for marketing consulting services, but I do help service providers get started on Instagram.

      @Tam thanks for chiming and yes this is exactly what I mean. People are finding the services they need via IG now and it's golden for building a following and a brand.
      Service providers need to be on social media, they just maybe didn't figure out how powerful and direct Instagram really is!!!
      Many Imers and off liners will be wondering how to make money through Instagram. This thread is about supporting that in terms of offline marketing and masterminding the plan

    @Nikkijuharris that's a really good question. In reality if you offer other social media management services then the pricing should be in line with what you ask for FB or Twitter account management for example although the pricing should depend on the niche imo IF you want to work smart and make some decent bank for your time and ingenuity.

    What you do need to do is have password access, which you may need to convince the client of, as IG is a youngish platform they don't have the different levels of account access and management that for example, Facebook has. Then again to bypass this potential roadblock you can offer to do total set up and in a nutshell 'partner' with the client in the IG account operation if they don't have an existing IG account that they insist on using - and charge for the set up and the ongoing management.

    In my case I am offering potential clients targeted followers for their location and niche keywords in most cases, and charging them for the followers, as this is a relatively new platform, and new service

    1. Because I don't have very big accounts that I can say I built using my strategies (my biggest has around 1600 targeted niche followers which I have build during last 8 weeks)
    2. Because people like to know what they are getting, and I can guarantee numbers of followers
    3. My service is still in its infancy and I am still learning what people want and how to price it.

    Hope this helps. Also you can/should fit the price to the market as well. Manhattan real estate is not the same as Colorado Grow Shops for example. Different market, different price perceptions although you are essentially providing the same service and doing the same amount of work for both, but the $ value that you are providing will convert to that much more relative profit for the realtor than the local grow shop owner imho.

    A realtor who is making 20k a month is going 9 out of 10 times choose the $1k a month service over the $100 a month service. Offliners pls correct me if I'm mistaken. I've had a couple of realtor clients and this is my experience but that of others may differ greatly.
