Hi I posted this question before and didn't get much response so im going to post it again. I currently set appointments for various companies from home. I charge on a fixed price per appointment basis. I currently get $120 per appointment in the industry i work in. my question is. does anyone know of a industry i could get into that will pay significantly more per appointment? maybe around $500? any suggestions would be great. thanks.

What's stopping you from going to a commission-only opportunity? If you want lucrative then you will have to remove the security blanket at some point and just go for it.

I have companies that offer me commission for every appointment that closes but I feel it's a bad move basing wether or not if I get payed on someone else's closing ability. I like being in control.

List big ticket items and go after companies in those industries as clients.
Roofing, home remodeling, swimming pools, heating and air conditioning.
Think consumer as well as business and government.

Lots of bad advice in here thats not really applicable to your situation. Charging a flat amount per appointment isn't so much a security blanket as it is an insurance policy on your clients inability to close.

Setting appointments on a commission basis is not going to work because..frankly...you have no control over the selling abilities of your clients.

Open your mind beyond the small business marketing thats talked about here. Enterprise sales is what you're looking for if you're really wanting to grow with this business model.

We charge clients an average of $400 - $650 per appt depending on industry/seniority level/company size. Lots of companies out there that will pay you more per appt if you're actually able to deliver.

Example: One of our current clients works in sales gamification. A new sale for them is worth roughly $100,000 annually. They gladly pay $650 per appt because closing even one appt a month provides an enormous return.

Part of your qualification process for a client should be the type of return your services are able to provide. We average 10 appts a month for clients, assuming a 10% close rate, they need to make at least 5:1 for us to take them on in most cases.

Hey James thanks for that answer, this is the type of response iv been hoping for. I currently cold call residential homeowners and iv been thriving for awhile but I want to take it to the next level. Looks like I need to get into B2B appointment setting.
