Who still cares about offline marketing?

Is it me, or does it seem not many people right now want to be having a bunch of business clients on their plates.

Is offline marketing not worth it anymore vs other business models?

The successful Offline Marketers still care about Offline Marketing.

For me, it's the only thing really worth it, but my brother is doing product creation, so I've been helping him some with promotions, which has been fun. But Offline Marketing is my "meat and potatoes" (and I'm talkin' the 5-star gourmet restaurant kind).

Um, all the people in the Offline subforum??

Who IMO are pretty much the most serious and real people on this site?

How y'all doing with your "make money with a bunch of clicks and garbage traffic" up here in the main forum?

Try checking out the quality of questions and posts overall down there vs up here in the main forum, huh.

    Haven't seen you there.

EDIT: lol this was moved from the main forum.

Jason sells courses and services online. But he also sells them offline. My guess is that most of his consulting business is offline. I sell books online, but nearly everything not information related is sold offline. And for me, it's 90% or better offline.

    No, it's just you.

Everywhere I look, businesses are still being sold to and serviced in the offline world.

    Have a great day!

It all depends on what and who you are selling to.

If you are selling to people that are trying to learn how to make money online, then you should try to do that online.

If you are selling Business to Business... that's best done offline. In my opinion at least.

There are still businesses which relied to offline marketing. For example some food industry still do offline marketing like free food testing and giving flyers.

In the end, business are run by people... and people buy from people.

Offline is still the best way to build relationships. I close six figure deals as an enterprise sales rep. I could never do it via smart copy and a nice autoresponder. Those are what gets me the bait... but offline is what gets me the whale.

It depends on your product and approach. Offline marketing is still a powerful weapon to develop your brand. Think about Pharmaceutical company, they have different marketing approaches than online. Offline networking still very much important for getting leads. Your products will say, where to focus more.

Yeah! Business is done between humans and humans, therefore offline marketing won't never ever die. Even if someone want's to.

Online marketing which is the opposite is also created by humans that spends hours after hours behind the screen and wait for the connection with a prospect. So this is why i think Offline marketing never ever dies. Just because the only thing I (or anybody else) have to do to market something is to dial a number, present myself, my company and my services. In that second when the prospect answer the phone, the relationship-building is started.
So, before you have a connection with a prospect online it can take hours, days, months before you get 1 connection. With the phone, cold-visit (or anything else in the area of offline marketing) it only takes seconds, minutes or maybe hours before you get a connection with a prospect.

So NO. Offline marketing will never ever die.

I think the OP is not talking about "SEO" vs "Direct Sales" you need to learn the difference between Offline Marketing & Direct Sales and SEO & Online Marketing

I see offline marketing being far more scalable than online marketing.

You come up with a successful newspaper ad, or a successful direct mail piece or a successful radio spot and all of a sudden you're looking at millions of dollars in sales.

It doesn't take long to max out PPC or SEO.

Offline marketing helps in marketing of business like food industry, etc.
It also helps other businesses little much because it is not still working as compared to online marketing.

Offline marketing came in when it was the only way to get target market attention now with improved technology and better data, ROI plus target market dependence on online tech, all of this has put offline marketing on backfoot and perhaps on its long path to ultimate demise!

We can see its symptoms all over esp. the almost merger of Omnicom and Publicis clearly indicates that the big G and Facebook etc are giving tough time to offline marketing empires of the past!

Offline Marketing is still a big method of advertising. If we look into the Network Marketing Industry, the statistics show that about 90% of the networkers build their teams only offline.

I believe offline marketing will always be there and it will always be a good method of advertising and growing your business. Not everyone likes Online Marketing!

As much as you might not believe this, online marketing is still new in many industries. Just look at the statistics!

Okay if its all about the statistics then either side can provide some amazing stats to prove that people care about them, stats doesn't matter when it comes to Offline VS Online marketing.

Still if you persist with this stats thing then know that you got to provide stats that are objective and believe me when it comes to social sciences nothing is objective!

For instance one study says subject lines are really important , according to study 33% of email recipients open email based on subject line alone.

Then we have totally opposite "statistics" , according to a research emails with no subject lines were opened 8% more than those with subject lines [32].

So what you think, which "statistics" of the above two is objective ? its like spooky quantumn particle being both in wave and particle form at the same time... you getting me ?

It's worth it now more than ever.

Gone are the days of offering clients mobile sites and converting easily.

Now, the pretenders are gone and the real offline marketers remain. I am having more success than ever before currently.

For great results -- We combine offline marketing and online marketing ...

This is for the many industries and niches that we operate in ...

For example, in our B2C configurable software & B2B custom software sales venture in [our niche] -- We generate traffic through online marketing / promotions / advertising, including click to call, search & display PPC, private ad space rentals, social PPC, guest posting and Web PR distribution campaigns; and

We close 90% of weekly sales over the phone ...

If we didn't do over the phone sales and just went with online sales, then our weekly turnover would just be around low $4-figure sales, against the high 5-figure sales that we're getting now ...

And, if we did more offline advertising / marketing / promotions than what we're doing online, then this could reduce our weekly net profits by 40% ...

These things aren't just for our B2B sales, but also for our B2C sales ...

I`m in 100% agreement with those who state offline marketing cannot die. The Internet is a great opportunity, but lots of people prefer real promotional products. A good friend of mine has recently opened his own indoor car wash. He used lapel pins (ordered them on http://www.pіnsource.com/en/gallery/printed ) to let people know about his business. They work great for him!
My friend created design on his own. He took this sample as a basis and add some detail

If you want great success you should never forget offline marketing, especially TV marketing who is still the most effective marketing tool I guess. So if you can afford it, you should do it.

My opinion is that business is business, whether it is online or offline. Indeed we should use both. However, products and services have higher perceived value. Thus, I believe that at the higher end of the funnel of our online business, we should be selling offline products and services.
