I need to outsource SEO ... who do you guys use??

There are hardly any people here on the forum offering SEO like there once was the last time I was here on the forum. I know there have been many google updates and SEO has changed.

If you outsource SEO, who do you use to do the work?? .. and are you getting results for your clients..??

Bro, it took me long years of suffering to learn this. This is something that I didn't want to hear when I posted a question like yours. I guess I had to go through paying people to botch up clients websites, not delivering results or worse. It was a life lesson.

Coming from the other side, I can completely understand if this falls on deaf ears.

    Learn to do SEO yourself.

    The End.

Yeah unfortunately outsourcing this stuff is pretty hit and miss.

I never really had proper success until I hired people and taught them myself.

This is something I post every so often, it is not directly applicable to this thread but it should give you a decent outline of what to learn...
"So not a single person on this thread so far knows what outreach is?

Most of the things you guys have mentioned have been ineffective forms of link building for years.

Social as the future of SEO, bullshit, the future to anybody with eyes and a brain is paid platforms, Facebook and google are both moving their services more and more towards paid discovery, however you can't concentrate on the future NOW.

To build backlinks now (taking away the PBN option):
    1) Do some research into your target market, who are they? What sites are they visiting now?
    2) Create something of value to them that doesn't already exist on the sites they visit, this is your asset
    3) Approach the sites they visit via email, phone or even snail mail if you have to
    4) Tell them about your asset and that it might interest their viewers
    5) Ask them to link to it

Then repeat the process for other areas that might be of interest to your target market, are there any transferable traffic options? For example a guy who is interested in books, will also be interested in ebooks, ebook readers, pdf's and other forms of material that he can read if it is sold to him in the right way by someone he trusts.

This is how you link build, this is how link building has worked since 1998 and it's still the same, things just get added and taken away here and there.

FYI read my blog post below, it tells you how to do this in a less targeted but still "safe" way.

But keep in mind that what I have said above is a form of link building that will always be effective until link building as an activity becomes ineffective.

Do it for the benefit of the person who will click your link and you won't go wrong.

Back up this with a few PBN links and you'll pretty much rank anything with the exception of gambling, porn and personal loans sites. If you wanna rank for them then you better start to learn how to write Linux linking scripts and other super shady activities."

I agree about learning to do it yourself. It's a constantly changing thing, but if you don't get too far from white hat methods you should be okay over the long haul.

Here are a few I know are good. I've been a member of all 3 and am still a member of one. They're ranked in no particular order.

Local Profit Breakthrough - A TON of information! It was almost too much, as I was getting overloaded. They also have an active Facebook group.

Spartan Marketing Academy - Good information from people that do SEO for a living. There are a few well known Warrior members there.

Semantic SEO - This is where I'm at now. I have a friend online that bought a website from me a few years ago and he's good at SEO. This is who he recommended when I asked him recently. I prefer it because it doesn't just focus on local, it also teaches how to rank affiliate products and more. It shows how to optimize YouTube videos, how to use Web 2.0 properties to gain natural backlinks, they stay away from PBNs completely and there's also Facebook groups where you can ask questions. I've been in other courses before that had parts of what's here and these guys seem to teach a lot of everything. You can join at different levels, too.

OMG Machines is another one, but it's expensive to join. I haven't joined that one yet.

Update: I left Semantic Mastery and went back to Local Profit Breakthrough. I have nothing bad to say about them, they have excellent information. You can get a lot of it free on YouTube. My reasoning was that LPB had similar information and it was much easier to ask questions in their Facebook group.

It was so much easier a couple years ago. There were many people selling SEO services here on the forum, but all those people are gone now.

My business model was spend my time finding clients, and when I land them just come here to the forum and find someone to do the work. I dont have the slightest idea how to do it myself, and I dont really have the time.

I could go to google and find someone I guess, but there wont be the feedback and reviews like you would have about each seller here on the forum, and I am sure the cost will be alot higher.

I am surprised that nobody here seems to outsource the SEO anymore, I thought that is how most offliners did it .

I tried outsourcing a few years ago. I went with the most expensive U.S. based company I could find. Their work was so bad I felt like I could do a better job than them at the time.
At this point I feel like maybe 5% of SEO companies can actually rank a site. I wouldn't count on an outsourcer.

For the better outsourcing you can search in the bidding portals there you will be able to see the companies past work, the websites they have ranked and also the feedback from there past clients are also mentioned there.

Outsourcing is not something that works in this industry. SEO is not a simply task. In that regard, if company is any good, they would have made much money by themselves, directly offering services to end user. Forget the idea.

These guys are actually solid I am starting to use them since recently and have gotten great results. I especially like the support from Cadence she is really friendly and takes the time to explain all my questions in detail. Anyway we are about to start a 2nd seo campaign with them and all good so far!
Oh and they have LIVECHAT which is so convenient as I cant stand to wait a whole day for a response like with other companies

They say, you should learn how to do something yourself before you hire others to do it for you. How you gonna teach them what to do if you don't know yourself? You will get every bozo offering to work for you for the money, and it is long gone when your client wan'ts to sue you for screwing up their site.

Not everyone has the time to learn every task they need to have done. Look for people that you know, like and trust who are currently using an SEO service, ask how it's working for them and go from there.

That is one way of looking at it. I enjoyed learning, but I don't enjoy the doing. I concentrate on the selling end and my partner concentrates on the doing end. So if you still looking, contact me and I will help you as best as I can. I can have my partner do it for you if you wish, but that would be a decision you would have to make. But am willing to help you as much as I can.

I got to say I am not crazy about selling. It is a hard gig.

The best SEO I did so far is not doing any SEO
It may not be true for local search, but other type of SEO is not really working on the long run.

Naturally you "optimize" according to "search engine", and this "search engine" changes its algorithm nearly every month... What's working now, may not work in the future. Worse, what's working now may be the reason for penalty in the future...

And in my case, not doing SEO really worked. Anyways, I'm ending this post with a stat that will make you think different on SEO:

"15 percent of queries submitted have never been seen before by Google's search engine"

To clear things up - you shouldn't blindly outsource SEO works. Like others have said, learn SEO and try to do it yourself. Only outsource tasks that you want (article writing, syndication, etc) , instead of relying 100% to SEO agencies.

Well I don't come here much since the site was sold. It is not the same. But that said, we do marketing services for clients. I don't sell SEO per say, as marketing is more than just getting your site ranked on Google. That pesky back button gets most sites.

If you are still following your thread jstarx hit me up and I can advise you more. It is better done on the telephone though, and I am willing to give you a free consultation. Are you a local company, or national or what. It makes a bit of a difference of course.

So I actually just wrote a blog post on my process of how I outsource most of my business, you can check it out over at this little link.

You essentiall need 4 members of staff, although one is better if it's done by you, as their job is to ensure everyone else is on target and doing things correctly.

You need at least one of each of the following in my experience:
    A project manager
    A prospector
    An outreach manager
    A writer

Thie roles and tasks are broken down in the post.

There are a huge number of people out there who claim to be an expert in SEO. A lot of them are ones that know how to go through the motions of backlinks, etc. but are clueless to looking at it from a higher level: you want people who are searching for your services to find you. There is a business and human side that is more important than number of backlinks.
I hired and fired a great number of so-called SEO experts who didn't understand the human/business marketing aspects. For example, one person insisted that the keyword "psychologist" was a good keyword for a hypnotherapist. I could believe that maybe this so-called SEO expert didn't understand the business side, but then he insisted that he was right. I promptly stopped using him. From my experience, the majority of so-called expert freelancers are worthless or close to worthless. It's essential that top notch keyword research is done correctly. For example, what's the point of being at the top of the SERP for dog grooming, when you do cat sitting?
In my situation, I've been doing SEO since 2007, so I knew when these people were not good. If you don't know anything about SEO, they can tell you anything and you would believe it as they will give you loads of detailed reports (or maybe nothing - I ran into that also).
I finally found excellent staff people to support my customers well - but I sure kissed a lot of frogs before I found them!
Please feel free to ask for any more help.
