Can I Have Some Online Marketing Suggestions, Please?

I have started a PPC campaign for the shop, but there aren't a lot of searches each month, so that may go slowly. (We'll see.)

We aren't going to do any print ads, so that's not an option.

We mostly work with businesses and churches. (We sell signs.)

What other online advertising would you suggest? It has to be local. We don't ship.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Tried signage?

    Sorry.

If you work with businesses and churches in a local sense why not just drive around looking for poor signage or signage in disrepair.

Also make note of each vacant business tenancy.

One day there will be a prospect there.

    Kind regards,

    Ozi

LOL We have a gorgeous sign.

We do a lot of the usual local marketing stuff (driving around, networking, etc.), but we are looking to add something to it.

To be honest, we get a lot of business just because of word of mouth and our sign, but we want to add some new (low cost) channels for marketing.

It depends on whether you think this is low cost but for me it is.

Can you do before and after graphics of businesses who require your services?

We do a lot of virtual makeovers and 3D renders for both prospective clients and paying customers.

If you have some downtime in your graphics department why not do some quick before and after graphics of prospective client's shopfronts.

You can deliver the mock-ups either digitally or I would suggest a print out and mount on a rigid substrate - harder to throw away and then follow up.

You can get some response from the prospect whether that be positive or negative at least you will get them talking.

You oould add an evil side by showing three options.

Current view, enhanced new view...and here's the kicker...show a future degraded version of their existing sign...add some fading...some peeling etc.

We use this strategy with the demonstration of an image ageing on our endurart site and the same series of images is used in brochures, in store.

Take a look at the series of how an image ages here: Endurart?

You could do a graphic of the degrading shop sign with a graphical representation of the drop in business caused. (I'm sure you can find some statistics to back the claim)

        best regards,

        Ozi

    A few questions Rob.

Do you have a website? Have you done local SEO and citations for it? Also, you mentioned you aren't going to do any print ads, but what about a simple sales letter to people like commercial brokers? You can do that through email too. It doesn't have to be salesy, but maybe more along the lines of a keep me in mind?

The social media idea above could be implemented for no cost. Just start liking some pages, that will draw some interest.

In another thread, you can get some great ideas about doing joint ventures with other contractors, service providers. Get together and combine your funds for a brochure or flyer to send out to commercial brokers and businesses.

These are just some ideas. Take em', leave em'. I hoped they helped a little at least.

I've created brochures and sales materials, and that's gotten some good results.

Social media has started getting some results, too.

      I'll work on some JVs.

  • You can build an email list and give free content to people (though considering your niche you have to figure out what content that can get your market interested). Also go for social media, FB ads can also be an option.
