How do I track offline referrals?

I am going to be doing some marketing for a real estate agent, basically using facebook ads and a lead page, free report offer for people looking to sell to generate real estate listings.

But how do online marketers go about tracking referrals and commission for offline customer sales and leads?

    A couple of ideas to help with your approach:

    1. Coupon Code - the agent could have a special coupon code (that identifies them) that gives $50 - $100 off or whatever, something that will act as an incentive for the offline customer to use. The agent asks his customers to use this code when calling or filling out a form online to redeem the offer, and that way he'll know which customers came through him by virtue of the code they used. Expand the idea to include multiple agents with their own unique codes, or make codes for each area / region you're attempting to cover. You need the unique identifier that your customers will want to include when giving their details.

    2. Referral link - give the client a shortened link (which is your referral link) that they can load on their phone to enter their contact details. You can put it in a QR code (make it a little more fun for those with QR readers ) or just plain text links you can read out to them in person. This approach obviously implies you've met people offline in person and after telling them about the free report you can send them to the URL they can collect it straight away on their phones.

    I'll add more if I can think of any others, but for now I hope that gives you a starting point for ideas.

    For offline referral tracking activity, you need to make it manually. When even a customer has a coupon which you were promoting online have to make a manual entry to keep proper track of the conversion.

    You could make all the contacts via phone number and use call tracking.
