Tue. Sept 6, time to get serious with your Off Line marketing.

You have 3 days left.

Then boom. It is time to work, and WORK hard, work your butt off.

Here's why:

School is in, routines are established.
Vacations are over.
Fall is in the air.

Halloween is already being promoted.
Thanksgiving looms large on the horizon.
Christmas holidays are being planned.

If you are doing any sort of off line marketing, now is the time to step up your game.

I have a few "bell weather" industries I follow, one is the publishing and the other is Hollywood (Entertainment).

AGENTS are back at their desks on Tuesday lighting up the phones, pitching their client's books, scripts, ideas, talent...

Businesses are thinking about getting more business (sure they do this all year long, but now, they know the "show is on").

What are some of the best things YOU could be offering?

Well, promoting a business (new customers, holding old ones, increasing sales) is never a bad choice...IF you can help them get more businesses.

It could be as a web gal, an SEOpert, postcard guru, mobile or app or any of a dozen ways to generate more customers.

GENERATE MORE CUSTOMERS, for them...
you
WIN.

Keep it simple. Keep it short and sweet.
Be brief.

But sell baby sell.

It is not unusual to make most of your yearly income in the next 3 months, this is a great time, a crucial time and there are billions to be had, so go get your share of the pie.

Now, about time. How far out are you planning?

I'm into WEDDING season for next year, with many BRIDAL SHOWS COMING up soon, got one this Sunday to attend.

I have an active project for 2019, a special anniversary commemorative, so that is an example of thinking ahead.

Come Jan. (only 4 months away) there will be scores of big trade shows where tens of thousands of prospects flock to, help those businesses spending money to be at those shows, to grab their share.

NOW is the time to grab the Off Line opportunity, to get busy making money or get busy going broke...

I prefer to be busy making the dough, not spending it.

GordonJ

PS. I've given some great hints at possible money making ops for you, read between the lines to decode my cryptic messages.

This sounds like a great perspective, and a way to focus in and work diligently.

I'm actually just getting started at offline marketing... I'm torn between working for an agency and getting a much lower percentage, and trying to sell multiple services including SEO (which is slow an expensive = harder sell)... or just going on my own and selling websites, and keeping all the profits... then up-selling services after I start making money and producing results for clients.

    What would you guys recommend?

I'm also getting started and my method will be more like option 2, but I'll be focusing on marketing more than just websites.

Being a 'small guy' can have its advantages over an agency if you leverage it correctly.

I suggest you first define your goals. What is it you want from your efforts?

When you say work for an agency, what does that mean? I don't know what kind of an agency you are referring to.

Selling multiple services. To me, this sounds sloppy.

I would advise you to take a deep breath, spend one week THINKING about what you want to do, and WHY. If you love building websites, or doing SEO for other people, then what would that look like in one year?

What is the TIME commitment once you have a customer or client? How many could you have?

I like to do the minimum for the FASTEST profits. By being fast, I can have more time for other things.

IF you are going to spend your 8 hour work day doing this, then what does that day look like? Are you knocking on doors in the morning? Doing IM in the afternoon? How much money can you make?

There are many ways to go about it. Give some thought to

What is the fastest way to get a deal? What is my weekly income going to be and what will that look like in TIME it takes to fulfill the sale?

See, if this is about money more than passion, then why not look for those opportunities which pay the most, for the least amount of time and energy...

but, if you must do IM and the so-called Off Line stuff, figure out what it is going to take to get you to a 5,000 a month income,or roughly 60k a year, not uncommon here in USA for calling on businesses and HELPING them get more customers.

Use whatever figure you have in mind, and figure out how many customers you need and what you need to do. Sure, they are a few guys who have built it up to a smooth running auto pilot operation after a few years in the field...but a little time spent NOW, sketching things out....

having a written plan (use a pencil, so you know it can be erased) but try to get your head wrapped around what you will really be doing.

Look for either highest commissions (longer) or fees
      or
      Faster moolah (my preference).

Get in, get out, fulfill quickly, cash the checks this week.

      Good luck with your venture.

Yes, jingle here we come. Before you know it its all over again. Dont wait!

Except for wholesalers: January is a great month for them, the stores are empty
and the cash registers are full. Easy to get plenty of refill orders.
