Hello everyone.I am working for Brilliant Polymers & our company is into B2B field - laminating adhesives for flexible packaging & I want to create awareness about our brand through advertisements.I have already started to give advertisements in newspapers & magazines but I am looking for something unique or creative way of advertising. Also I am thinking of bill back advertising wherein they print and distribute coupons, advertisements and promotions on the back of the bill receipt in large and medium size supermarkets and food retail outlets.Outlets like Pizza Hut, KFC,Taco Bells,Hola Chef,CCD,Star bazaar,Spencers,Star bazaar,HyperCITY,Croma,CENTRAL,Big Bazaar,FBB,Brand Factory, etc.

Also I am thinking for advertising in Metro -Internal & External advertisement or Airline advertisement or Cab advertisements.

Can anyone give me suggestions on it?
Is it OK to give advertisements for a B2B company?
Please let me know if you have any other options or strategy for this.
Thanks in advance.

How many of your customers would be in supermarkets and food retails outlets...?

I'd suggest targeting trade journals for people who would use your products...

If I were you I would do (or better, yet pay) for an analysis to see if it even makes sense to invest in print media at all or instead focus your efforts on your SEO (which after some review needs a lot of work). Most people search for you on the internet and if you are not on the first page of the results or more realistically the first couple of companies listed chances are, no one is going to find or hire you. You mentioned your company and I did a little research and ran a few numbers, for a bunch of keywords and found your website got an SEO score that is well below where it needs to be which is something I would definitely look to improve.

You also have many opportunities in beefing up your mobile platform, the page looks bad on a smartphone and takes way too long to load. I would focus my efforts there to begin with instead of throwing money at advertising. You can better reach your audience if you know how they are going to find you and that way is most likely going to be via your website.

How do you get your B2b customers to your website if they cannot easily find you via a search? How can you make it easier for them to access you on another device or tablet if they are not at their desktop? How active are you in reaching out to them on social media? In just about every business it is expected to have an online presence and having good content is key to make sure you are not a proverbial needle in a haystack.

That being said there are many people out there talking about the decline of print advertising, but there is nothing better to disregard that opinion than figures and statistics. The truth is that even when some people are totally sure that printed advertisements are just a past memory, surveys say right the opposite.

A European survey showed that 23 percent of the interviewed consumers of 13 countries were print users who use digital media with certain regularity. 46percent usually merge print with digital. 19 percent were digital media users with positive opinion on print media and just 12 percent were digital users with no interests or positive attitude towards print media.

The same survey showed that newspapers and magazines have a 63 percent of popularity among consumers while Internet has just 25 percent. But this is not only a European phenomenon. In America, 98 percent of consumers get their mail the same day it is delivered and 77 percent check it immediately. Actually, 70 percent of Americans prefer to read on paper and 67 percent prefer printed materials over digital. In general, 80percent of traditional mail is opened while 80 percent of emails is disregarded (just 20 percent is read). Other surveys showed that the opening rate for prospecting physical mail is 91 percent against 11 percent for advertising emails.Recent surveys also showed that 33 percent of consumers do not trust in those brands that do not offer printed communications and 69 percent would never choose a company with no printed bill option for transactions. When it comes to response and lead, print advertisements also have the best figures. The average response rate for physical mail is 4.4 percent while the rate for email is just 0.12 percent. Besides, 79 percent of consumers have a positive and immediate reaction on a brand is direct mail.

On the other hand, the merge between printed and digital advertisements has proven to be the best solution for marketing purposes. Offline marketing generates 67 percent of all the online searches in United States and 39 percent or those searches end purchasing.

Those online marketing campaigns that include printed catalogs produce 163 percent more profits than those campaigns that only use digital media. Actually, those buyers who receive print mail promoting online sites spend 13 percent more than those who just receive digital info. These figures show a tangible and convincing result, print media popularity is not dead and it continues to generate amazing leads for companies all over the world. Considering that millions and millions of people are not recurrent internet users even in developed countries, thinking that print marketing is a waste of time is pretty naive. The best solution is merging offline and online marketing solutions. Why to choose one or another, when we can get the benefits of both?

I do not know if I completely trust the source of all of the print media stats but my point is it is something to think about and while print media has had it is issues since the digital age, it is completely not dead yet. Taking all of this into account you have to think most about who the customers are that are searching for you. Are most of those people going to be going to Pizza Hut and the places you mentioned? The answer to that is no. Most of Pizza Huts customers are in businesses other than the one you are in and its hard for me to see how this is going to get you a steady stream of new leads you need to reach new customers.

The problem I see with print media is it is difficult to see if it is effective unless you can tie it to some kind of a promotion. If you have a coupon code or equivalent that is unique to your print campaign then you can track it but if you just have info on your company you are not going to get the full picture of whether what you are paying for is working or not.

Another option you have in addition to SEO is to buy google or FB ads, there are tons of options there too but again it needs to be in conjunction with your entire marketing campaign. You can throw money at a problem and not get anywhere. However, if you are thinking of advertising with the hope of getting your name out there, you might want to rethink your strategy. You also need to be able to track your progress no matter what you do to make adjustments as they are needed if you are not doing the things to reach your target audience it is not going to get you any new customers.

Before you spend a dime on SEO or online advertising you first should get educated on the subject and keep in mind that the end result is for you to have your company be the first one that pops up for your niche, if you are writing blogs on the subject, and you are also on twitter, Linkedin, Facebook etc. you are increasing your scope and your odds of reaching your target customers but you have to make it your goal to be at the top of the list or at least the first page in a search, otherwise people will not know you exist. The good news is all is not lost, you have a good domain name and just need to make your internet marketing and social media are working for you and not against you.
