Need Sales/Marketing Ideas for High-End Mastermind

Love the warrior forum, especially the OLM section.

I am organizing a $30k High-End Mastermind for a specific type of company. A search of US databases tells me there are several hundred thousand of these companies.

How would you go about filling 20 seats in a $30k, 12-month Mastermind and Coaching series? There will be 4 meetings at different cities in the US plus there will be twice monthly live MM/Coaching calls. I have a slate of industry experts committed to lead the series and will teach and coach in the focus areas of production management, sales & marketing, finance and accounting.

Would you:

Advertise on FB, LinkedIn, other Social Media?
Build a list manually, send marketing materials and followup with a phone call?
Buy a list of manufacturer's, send marketing materials and followup with a phone call?
Other methods?

Appreciate your advice in advance.

How about an endorsement from your experts' fan base. Their client list.

Jay Abraham was quietly making a lot of money for himself and his clients behind the scenes before he burst on the seminar scene. At a time when everyone else was charging $500 per seat, Jay charged $25,000 as an unknown. How? He was endorsed by his clients - the likes of Tony Robbins who had a million followers. Instant fame. And it works at all levels. I filled a workshop several times over on the basis of an endorsement from a client... No advertising costs...

Speak at industry events. Offer real information. Stand out. Become the topic of conversation.

Sell a smaller package (perhaps a few hundred dollars). Those buyers will become your prospect list for your high end coaching.

The best prospect list for selling high end coaching is your own customer list. The second best list is someone else's customer list.

This is the slower, more independent way to do it. If you have no list. This is the best way I know to build a highly profitable list of clients.

    Best idea.

You already have experts. They already have clients. Their lists are your prospect lists. You could actually skip the "sell a smaller package" step here, and get their clients to an event you put on. Every expert speaks at the event. They all sell the event to their lists. And of course, they all speak and sell something (anything but coaching or a Mastermind Group).

And as the organizer, you have each of the experts build you up (and each other)...before the event...and at the event.

And just sell the Mastermind Group at the event. Talk about it throughout the event. Make it sound like demand is mounting, and you have no choice but to meet the demand.

I've spoken at precisely these kinds of event (usually over 3 days) and I make a lot of money speaking. But the guy putting the event on? The guy selling the Mastermind? He (or she) generally pulls half a million to a couple million dollars out of the event. And that's with only a few hundred people attending.

Out of 150-200 clients attending such an event, you would certainly get 20 participants. In fact limit it to 20, and start a waiting list. But the entire event has to be about building value in all the experts, and testimonials from their attending clients.

But building a Mastermind list cold? Trying to sell with social media? One on one? I don't think I've ever seen that work.

This is the kind of selling where a joint venture and several endorsements are mandatory.

Selling Mastermind Group Memberships is all about peer pressure, perceived demand (which requires an in person group dynamic), an established base of people already used to paying for consulting, information. memberships, and who already love giving money to Gurus. You need a Feeding Frenzy. Very hard to create a feeding frenzy on Facebook. It needs to be in person, as a group, creating a bubble of mutually endorsed belief in the entire idea.

Not for the weak or inexperienced.

Get a Professional business package printed up and send it out as many people you can find that would be interested in your product. But also you could use a simple flyer first and sent package if people are interested Robert
