Anyone offering LinkedIn Marketing to their clients?

If you do, do you get a corporate email created by your client to post on
their behalf on their Company and Showcase Pages and Groups?

Wouldn't it be weird for the reader/followers to see a non-employee
(since your LinkedIn profile would be of a social media consultant or agency)
creating posts or engaging in groups on behalf of the company?

The other option is obviously to get their LinkedIn personal login but I think
neither them nor LinkedIn would like that.

Thanks.

I would not say that creating basically a fake profile would be the best approach either. I will be honest and say I have done it, but its probably not the best overall route. Most clients I have worked with when LinkedIn is an approach there is a sit down involved, we go over some posting basics and then the content is then sent to the client, and the client posts it. Sure there have been instances that the client has said "I cant do that - here is the password" and to be honest there is nothing wrong with that.

There is simply a difference in asking for the password, and them offering it to you.

Thanks Savidge4. You're as helpful as always.

I do wonder though how social media agencies who handle accounts
for larger corporations manage their LinkedIn marketing activities.
