What would be the most effective method to reach Automotive dealersships, installers, shops and stores?

    This isn't a large scale answer but the best time to get the attention of any business owner is when you are handing them money.

    They'll pay attention to customers.

    Obviously, I don't know what you do or what your plan is but if you're just starting out, approach the small companies first and use them as a stepping stone to the larger ones.

    Believe it or not the automotive industry is a tight family. The dealers all know each other and recommend things to each other. Start out by dropping by your local dealerships talk to the owners or managers you need to get in with them introduce them to your product. Leave a catalog. Be prepared to baby these guys. To keep them happy send them your company pens, hats, t-shirts. This is a hard nut to crack if you can get in with a few you should be able to work in the rest. I am speaking from experience.

      Consider speaking at chambers of commerce in your city and surrounding areas. They allow you to display brochures and catalogs usually in the back of the room. This is a very effective method for generating leads and referrals, especially if you can get regular speaking engagements.
