I don't know if this is the right place to ask about this , but any advice would be thankful
I am currently on FMLA, due to medical reasons and I am trying to work from home doing some sales for a local company.

Does anyone have any suggestions, on how to get customers via ads, online. I have been using craigslist, joining FB groups and such. So far not much luck

A lot of people just curious about price.

I am trying to sell shipping containers etc for construction sites, storage or really anything.

If anyone knows of a better opportunity for me while I am home and recovering from my illness that would also be helpful. Thank you.

If I had access to decently price shipping containers to sell - I'd be targeting ads to the tiny home market - the off grid housing sites - preppers, etc.

Of course people want to know the prices - don't make it hard to find that info but balance it with a landing page or site that extols the usefulness of the containers.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

Thanks I have had a lot of inquiries on the FB groups, Off grid Living, Preppers etc. They all want to know price, then say "OK I am not ready to buy yet". Its very frustrating. I must ahve pulled 50 quotes the last few days. I could also be a bad salesman too....

People asking for quotes.. I call them "Tire Kickers". There is a reason that they call the times we live in the information age... Its literally at our finger tips.... aside from shipping, the price of the containers themselves is set... There is NO reason why you wouldn't post those prices - It will get rid of the "Tire Kickers". Of course mention that delivery is not included in that price. They can come and get it, or you have delivery options available.

And lets get real here for a minute.. you cant say the methods you are using don't work if you have sent 50 quotes in the last few days.

So kinda here is the deal.. you apparently have no issues in getting the traffic in front of your offer. I would roughly say you are getting the right kind of targeted traffic. You simply are not closing the deal. Start asking the ones that say maybe later.. what would need to happen to do this today? Get an idea of what it is you are truly up against. This gives you something to go back to the guy / gal that has the inventory you are selling and work out a deal that works for them, and the people you are trying to sell to.
For the prepper and tiny home crowd you really want to get your hands on the 10' and 20' foot trailers.

It sounds like the reason you haven't had success is you are basically spamming.

Looks up other ways to drive traffic. Are you looking for free traffic or paid?

Advertise the price and explain mileage for delivery is extra. Advertise the mileage rate. This way will cut out a lot of window shoppers and not waste your time/effort.

My bet on tiny homes is those folks aren't going to buy right away If they ever buy. Buying/building any home is a long term decision. Most of those people will also run into building code problems which will throw a wrench in their plans of building anything.
