Best cold calling strategy

What I've found works best for cold calling is when I pick up the telephone with my right hand and then dial a number. It's been working great for me. Any thoughts on improving my calling method?

Sure. Walk in and talk to them.

Because...for some, in person works better than phone selling.

We're all different and there is no "right way".

There's just, what works for you.

I like and use the phone, but I enjoy walking in as well.

The secret to building your sales skills, is to mix things up.

    Keeps you on your toes!

We are living in times of tremendous opportunity, most of which is going unmet.

    guys;

I've read just about every book on cold calling..

On Amazon you can get Cold Calling Techniques That Really Work by Stephen Schiffman. Really, it's got a few approaches that are the best I've seen, and I've used them myself with success.

    Get the 7th edition.

Extend the pinky of the hand that holds the phone, but not all they way. You will feel regal, and that will translate in your tone of voice thereby making you more persuasive.

If using a mob / cell apparently it's proven medical fact use the left ear!!!

    Moving on:-
"A sales rep leaves on average 70 voicemails per day, requiring 60 seconds each, which adds up to approximately 25 hours per month. To make a time consuming task even worse, the typical voicemail sucks!

Too many sales reps speak too fast and ramble, filling the message with lots of “um’s” and “ah’s”. Then, potential clients have to listen to the voicemail three to four times, just to write down the callback number. That’s why messages are deleted, and prospects never return calls.

A good voicemail sparks interest. It’s well-planned and compels the recipient to phone the caller immediately. Revamp your sales voicemail messages right now!!

    THE ANSWER
"record one perfect voice mail message in Close.io, and whenever you hear that BEEP, click a button and your pre-recorded optimised voicemail will be played back, while you can already get on the next call"

If I could only get all the sales people to listen to your advice! Especially the spark interest part, which I take to mean, they decided to leave me a message after they checked that I am a good match. Alas, usually, they leave me messages just because I am a business owner or just because I have a credit card or have bought a house...

By the way, if you're a real estate agent or marketing for one, you're really, really and truly, late to the party if you call me to buy a house just after I moved into my new house.

I don't know if you consider professional telemarketers 'sales-reps,' but a well-trained one never leaves a voice mail message. They hang up and dial another number and repeat the process until they get a warm body.

You can talk to a lot more people if you don't waste 25 hours per month leaving voice mails.

      Thank you.

Get a cheap predictive dialer so it does it for you. No one should ever use fingers for dialing these days.

No. It's not about the tech. The tech doesn't matter.

You can use an old rotary dial phone. Nobody cares.

It's about making the calls and having the conversations that lead to sales.

      Everything else is a distraction.

Really? You don't do outbound then. No one who does any outbound would write what you just wrote.

If you don't have experience you should not comment.

Plenty of experience. That's how I know that DIALS that lead to CONVERSATIONS that lead to SALES, should be the focus.

          Try to keep up.
