Want to start consulting/agency to run FB ads/funnels for businesses.

I know how to run FB ads and setup sales funnels pretty well. I figure I can offer value as a consultant/agency for small businesses.

My question is, how do I position myself? How do I price my services? How do I keep the ad spend and my fee separate for the customer?

Anyone got any experience in this industry or know of any courses that can help me?

If you figure that you can offer value as a consultant, you must then in turn by offering value know what sort of fees are going to be applied in order to offer that value? if you did not know this then how would you know you were offering value ? (that was tongue twister)

keeping fees and ad spend separate ? one way would be a sliding scale percent of ad spend in fees, and now there are those that are working on no result no fee ? but who would want to hire anybody who maybe could not get a result, which would lead to how to position yourself ? well that would be as the expert in what you do.

and why o why cant we ask this question, it is a good one, because if you can spin the winner in your game why o why would you spend your time making money for other people ? maybe your game is making money for other people, the whole face book marketing space seems over crowded at the moment, so what makes you think you can stand out from the pack and take a share of the market on offer, what makes you special from the others?

Pretty ridiculous question. I don't have a product. My product is the service I will be offering. I make money making money for the person who has a product.

If you were to hire me to run ads for me, you'd say something like
My fee is 10% of total ad spent, so, if you spend $1000, you have to fork over $1,100 for me to work with you.

My fee is $373.48/month and I run x campaigns a month for you, which, based on your estimated conversions will bring me $x in revenue, where x is more than what I'm getting now (unless your fee is smaller than what I'm paying now, so I'm still ahead).

Now, to other important things. Did you ever read The E-Myth by Gerber? If not, do so... that is to say, if you're after ending up owning a business not just a job.

        Marketing your agency is important
        Positioning your agency is important
        Choosing clients is important
Delivering what you promise is important
        Pricing is important
Setting up systems for all of the above is important
Having a good collection system is important.

        Read the book.

People here seem to think that getting clients is the hardest part; it's not: delivering consistently at high quality levels is harder.

No it is not, ever thought about getting your own product ? maybe you could start by selling a simple guide to the basics of setting up facebook ads for a few dollars to get you started, and that could have a upsell in it that says something like, out of time and you would like us to take over ? call here then maybe build some level 2 specialised books on fb ads from there, to onsell from level one and again have the option to take over in those book.

you could sell your own marketing to your own future customers, ? maybe even position yourself as that expert, ridiculous I suppose but you never know.

there was a day back in yonder when I was knee high to a pecker and thought I knew everything, those were the days I used to run adwords for companies and others until I asked why am I doing this for others ? it makes no sense at all after seeing the money that was being made. Since then I phased out working for others and have not done this for other people any more and while I no longer really play that much with giggle adwords I do play with facebook ads

Your Ad Set Is Performing Well, Your ad set's cost per xyz of $x.yz is less than 95% of similar ad sets.

Now do you think I am doing this for others or myself?, sometimes ridiculous is just a word dependant on where your current mindset and ability is at.

  • My question is, how do I position myself?
If you don't have your own portfolio yet. One good place to start would be to offer your services to marketing or advertising agencies as an independent contractor for FB ads. Or you can build a advertising agency of your own specialising in FB ads.

How do I price my services?
Depends on how extensive your service is going to be. Are you also doing the keyword research? Images? Copywriting?

How do I keep the ad spend and my fee separate for the customer?
Have the customer set up an initial budget for ads and deposit that account into the ads account before you start running the ads.

IF.. you are good at facebook ads.. you have a license to print money. I will second the question.. "why o why would you spend your time making money for other people ?" There are way to many affiliate programs out there, that you could be making bank.

Just an example... and this is actually a product category I play with. If you look here: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p...nid=4972967011

ok high end tvs... you can work for 10% of some joe or hey even better make $350 a month.. OR you can sell a couple of these at 4% a pop.. then get real comfortable in what you can do, and reach out Manufacture direct, and make far more. And this is just ONE example...

This comes down to comfort vs motivation and drive.. you can sit back get paid and do what you are paid to.. or you can "go out on a limb" and get the reward. Its the same work either way right? the only difference is your are playing with YOUR ad budget.
