Offline Affiliate Marketing

by JaneDavila 2 replies
I'm in the process of starting a business printing booklets and selling ad space to local companies. I'd also like to partner with a few businesses as an affiliate but not sure of how this could be tracked. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or ideas. I was thinking of using QR codes but that would only track the clicks.

Affiliate marketing also is a very broad term; under this umbrella there are several different strategies that can be employed to generate affiliate revenue. The most appropriate and lucrative method (or methods) can depend on a number of factors, including your site’s niche and characteristics of your audience.
I suggest to try coupons, product description.

Might want to look into EDDM (if you're in the USA)... Bob Ross on this forum has a lot on that that's good.

Back in 2010 or 2012 there was a guy here who did something similar... Can't think of his name... Basically, he printed booklets with restaurants and other businesses people who visit from out of town find interesting and then arranged with hotels/motels do display them on their property... He also worked with Pizza Shops... He printed the flyer the shop puts on the the pizza box when they deliver... As long as they allowed him to print some ads on the side. I don't remember how he got people to sign up for ads. But it seems like a good distribution system for the advertisers and the pizza shop save some money. Don Alm was his name.

This is a thread about Don Alm's method where Bob Ross participates. You might find it useful.
