Cold B2B leads for SEO and online marketing etc'.

Hi,

Is anyone doing cold calling / emailing to B2B prospects?

What if I could supply a list of, for example, new US based (or any country) businesses that has just started up, or simply renovated their website?

All business verticals.

Some of them want SEO. Some want online marketing.
I guess there's a "standard" cold calling / emailing job to do, but the money is definitely there!

I'm looking to monetize this info.
Who would buy such a list and call / email them?
How would you go about it?

Send bulk email to your list and tell them you have this. You offer a price for your list or they offer you a price for your list.

You assume I have a list

I thought about offering this to SEO agencies, for example, but it seems that most would prefer "inbound" marketing, that is, "bring me a hot lead".
I'm looking for those who are able to approach a total stranger and convert.

How do you know they want SEO or marketing? I've met the owners of many new businesses. Many did not want any such thing. They thought they had lined up all they needed before they opened the business.

How are you compiling your lists?

I agree with DABK, planning is an integral part and most of the prudent businesses do this exercise well advance. Besides, those who wish to spend money on promotion, are more interested in leads then any other mode of bringing business. So, chances are high, they wont be interested in mails.

I personally felt, if I approach customers, they are like- keep safe distance and when they come on their own, the conversion is great.

I meant that some of them want SEO services. Let's say one out of X.

I thought so. That kind of list is not that valuable. It still would have value but just a lot less. Because the x could be really low.
        Even non-existant in smaller samples.

As regards new businesses, though getting new clients is a great desire, doing so through SEO is not. Then, there is the fact that sime people register a business and never do anything else, and then there are those who register a business but have little money.

When it comes to businesses that just revamped their sites, you are getting them late for what you propose: their designer's already hooked them up with agencies, or they are an agency too.

Your list of businesses, you would be bettet off selling them to people who sell phydical products: ink, paper, pens, desks, etc.

          Thought about it.

I get your point and agree. The other guys above also said true things.

          I appreciate your time

That BTW, leads to another question: What's common to all of them? How would I find them "on time".

If they click on your ad for new websites or SEO, you found them at the right time.

If they are spending money on ads, but are not ranking for keywords they should be, you found them at the right time.

If they are looking online for keywords about starting a business or growing a business, you may have done it here too.

            Or you could run surveys.

you would pretend as if you want services from them, eg if you have seo leads, Go to business offering seo services, ask for quote, say they say $1300 is basic price, offer them one lead you genuine about and then tell them you have more and are open to discuss how you would work together providing them leads
