I have been marketing several of my sites with direct mail mainly postcard marketing. Just wanted to know if anyone here in the warrior forum is doing any offline marketing and if you are having any success?

Thanks,
William

William, did you have success with Postcard Marketing?

I think you can have huge success with Offline Marketing if you can give something away for free or with value. If you use flyers, you need to get attention from the people. You can do it by giving discounts or private memberships or whatever...

I have been doing offline marketing for a good bit of 8 years. At first i felt it very time consuming and contacting people was always a drag.

After giving up after a year i decided to try it again with a company that has a good rep.

I love offline marketing, just for the fact that i have met a lot of great people.

I was always told that in offline marketing the only people that succeed are the people at the top but i found this not to be totally true.

My success in offline came from persistence and talking to a lot of people at gas stations, malls, etc, etc, etc.

Phone follow ups are really what made me succeed the most. Especially when you know how to talk to people

WilliamL Yes I have had very good success with postcard marketing and have been doing it for about 13 years now off and on. I have found it to be a lot less headache than internet marketing. All I do is just mail postcards. No ppc, seo or article marketing.

    Thanks,
    William

      YES!

      Networking.

Speaking (local seminars) -- even locally promoted Online Webinars.

Speaking for local clubs and organizations.

      and --

I use Send Out Cards as a follow up tool -- makes a KILLER way to follow-up, especially with the custom cards. Happy to show you how I do that.

      BIG TIP FOR ANYONE HERE:

If you're marketing offline (even for a website) ... try this ...

Go to HIGH TRAFFIC businesses like dry cleaners, oil change, car wash, even fast food (locally owned ... even local franchise owners).

Offer them a flier, coupon, gift certificate they can distribute -- "In their name" like it's a gift to their clients. (you can do this on a reciprocal arrangement or set them up as an affiliate or some other trackable, rewardable model)

      We've done these a lot.

Example: I got one of my clients gift certificates distributed to all the Dairy Queens in our entire metro area -- they distributed over 14,000 certificates in less than a week (stapled to the bags). Really COOL.

Get this: It back-logged my client's service department from always having open slots to A SIX-WEEK WAIT FOR SERVICE! Had to hire more help to keep up.

      This stuff works!!!

I don't want to get banned for giving something away, but if somebody could tell me yeah or neah I'll tell you guys how to get a PDF describing an offline promotion I did for a client that brought in 4,137 clients from a $90 promotion.

Results were so HUGE that Entrepreneur Magazine wrote about my promotion.

An author writing a book on cashflow interviewed me and I have it in a PDF if anybody wants it. (and if a mod or somebody tells me if it's ok to give that type of stuff away here I will.)

Anywhooooo... the internet ROCKS -- obviously.

But, there's a WHOLE WORLD of client-getting opportunities offline as well.

      Hope that helps!

      Cheers,

Recent economic conditions have forced me to get back into the game. Over the years I have been involved in all phases of product and business development, and at many different levels. In all these years it is not often that I have seen an opportunity present itself, with proven models, proven income levels and a relatively low cost of entry, that this offline marketing model offers.
In my case, I started doing the research on this market July 22, 2010. I developed a short list of prospects from local business casual conversations. From those conversations I got a general idea as to the needs of the potential clients I would be working with. The research from purchases on this forum, as well as following the free advise offered by members here has proven more than sufficient. The result is, clients acquired at a very low effort on my part. At this point, I have to refine my product service mix and test the market for what might be my 'ideal clients'.
To summarize, this is a great business to be involved in.

Im just getting into offline and think it will be a good and fairly easy money maker for me. The SEO comp in my city is non existent so I can get top rankings easily.

Anything you do can be an easy money maker....Focusing and being consistent might be the formula your overlooking.

You can have success at anything you do, it doesn't matter if other warriors have failed or not.

Does anyone here use postcards to generate leads for their SEO business?

Trust is a huge factor of any business, regardless of how it is promoted. Many people are more comfortable with buying products from offline ads than on the internet. The reason is that you get to see the people or company you are interested in buying from and get to know them a little before you actually purchase.
