The Eatery Method - Offline Marketing Trick #2

This is for all you offline marketers. Ask yourself this, how many times have you been to the mall in your local area? how many people do you think visit your mall in a week? A lot of people right?

Now what's one thing that almost everybody does, when they go to the mall besides shopping? It's okay I'll wait.......THEY EAT!

Have you ever noticed when you ate at the mall, and you see those triangle fliers sitting in the middle of the table with advertisements for new movies coming out soon? Well that's what we're going to capitalize on.

I just got done speaking with the manager on the phone who manages the mall here where I live, and he said for just $400 per month the keep your fliers there on the tables! Again how many people eat there, and right in front of their face is YOUR advertisement.

You can virtually advertise any service to them. Let's check a couple out.

Offline consulting
Real Estate
Cleaning company
Clickbank products (save energy type of products)
lawn care

This list can go on and on.

BONUS TIP!

Here's what I would do, I would buy a simple .Info domain for like $2.00 have that redirect to a CPA offer (preferably **** berry) to where you get paid $40 for a $9.99 FREE TRIAL. What goes more perfect than that? You have a weight loss product your promoting in an eatery at a mall.

Hope this helps, feel free to drop some ideas.

Best Regards,
UFG

I think this is an excellent offline method.

Let me add a quick tip that could potentially make it even more effective.

There is a new technology that is emerging and there are several variants of it out there. The one I am familiar with is called Microsoft TAG (Google it).

Basically what this does is create an offline "link."

The way it works is that the person takes a picture of the barcode like image. The program that is on the phone then decodes it and figures out what to do with it. One option is to have it launch the browser on the phone and take them to a website.

Think about it, instead of having to write down the web address or remember it, they take a picture with their phone and it automatically takes them there.

The best part is it is currently a free service.

Check it out! Let me know what you think.

No problem. Glad I could help.

I have personally been trying to integrate it into my personal marketing strategy but haven't gotten there yet.

I saw another suggestion to use StickyBits. Looks very similar. I know there are quite a few others out there as well. The only remark I have is that you want to make sure that the software (each version has proprietary software) has versions for as many phones as possible.

The big ones are iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile and Blackberry. If they don't support at least all of those I would look at a different one. You want to be sure that if they want to do it they don't get stuck going "oh crap it doesn't support BlackBerry."

There are a couple out there though that support all of those platforms and some others as well. Just do some research and I am sure you will find one that works.

That's not exactly "emerging" technology; they ("QR codes") were developed in Japan way back in the early 1990s, where they're now featured on signs, billboards, magazines, buses, business cards, and basically anything you might need information about, or displayed on. Afaik, most mobile phones sold into the Japanese market come pre-equipped to read them.

I've seen them here too, but only in the last 4/5 years. From the looks of it, Microsoft's TAG is just a more colourful version of the same thing. (They're still pretty cool though. )

    Solid Idea.

I actually saw a guy that was doing something even better:

He had rented a kiosk at a mall and had 3 'promo girls' working with him. The kiosk had 6 laptops and some promotional materials. People would wander over and start talking to the girls, or get flagged down by them and start talking to them (they were dressed to impress, shall we say!)

    And what were they promoting?

    CPA OFFERS!

They would offer these guys a free gas card, or something along those lines and then ask them to fill in their name / email / postal code on the laptops they had conveniently placed on the kiosk.

Probably making Thousands a week if the CPA program pays out nicely.

Combining Online and Offline Methods can be very profitable indeed.

I have been offline marketing for over 2 years. I understand the above method but would never try it. Too many people/businesses don't understand Internet Marketing and there is not enough time in the day to speak to a bunch of non qualified business owners. I prefer to attend Chamber/Business Mixers and Network breakfast meetings like Business Networking and Business Referrals by LeTip International, Inc. and BNI International - Business Networking and Referrals
You can cherry pick and get better quality clients. You only need 10 good clients to pay you $1K per month to make $10,000 (math was my strong point in high school) haha

This is a good idea too. I think the Affiliate / CPA ideas offered above were more about offers that appealed to the "common man"....

true, not everyone has 1K to give you.....but everybody could use a free gas card

@sdentrepreneur: liking the way you think though!

Just to add to what MichaelNovak gave...you might also want to check out StickyBits for a tag (stickybits - tag your world?), they are kind of a hot startup right now.

You're speaking from an "offline consultant" point of view correct? I haven't touched water in the field nor does it interest me (don't like talking to people on the phone...I used to be a telemarketer LOL) But I do understand what you pointed out, & I seem to like your math skills as well

Thank you for the comment and resources that you have provided.
