Well Capitalized Companies Are Doing Offline Marketing

I got this in my RSS Reader today for SEO in my local area:

Sales Representative - Harrisburg, PA | Sales Jobs| Sales Careers - Sales Gravy

So it seems that SEO really is hot.

    It's been hot for years.

Part of marketing is trying to make existing things sound new and exciting - it's what appeals to people.

It's been 'hot' in this forum for at least 5 years and yet you still see people talking about it like it's something new.

It's like making money online - to some people it's new and exciting but to others it's normal and long-standing.

People like to hear this stuff and newbies are suckers for earnings claims and stories of hungry customers waiting to pay. Nothing has really changed - it's just business and marketing.

Hello Charles, nice to see a fellow PA resident! I am about 40 minutes south of you. Yeah, just like MR. Andy said, sizzle is an art form and the trick is to do the same things over and over again for years but yet always add in a new phrase or term which makes it seem new and exciting.

I imagine there are still tons and tons of businesses up there in Hershey which have a webstie but only hired a developer who knows zero about proper SEO. That sort of thing is everywhere and sadly these companies pay $1000+ on average to get the site designed yet nobody can find it other then them using their old methods of Media advertising and showing their URL.

Not to say that is the case for all, but plenty of companies cannot be found in a search engine by typing in the product they sell or produce or service they provide. You have to specifically type in their business name for the most part therefore SEO is non-existent, that is where savvy marketers come in.

Still tons of money to be made everywhere in the offline markets.

Business as usual is also because "There are hungry customers waiting to pay".
