Convincing the unconvinced

Ok so you want to charge them a higher monthly fee like $1,500 or $3,000/month for your service.

One way to convince them easily is by asking them to think of you as their new employee, only the difference is you will make them more $$$ every month...

urr....somehow I think that might not get the "greatest" of conversion success...but maybe that's just me...

What has your results been with that tactic been so far? How have business owners responded to you making just that statement to justify your fees?

Don't try to convince the unconvinced. Go out there and find people who know they need to be on the internet but don't know how to do it. They're out there and they WILL pay for your services.

Exactly. Who the hell wants to be in the convincing business?!

You're wasting your time if you go around trying to convince people of things. Plenty of other ways to get clients without "convincing" them.

How about getting them to raise their hands first and have them chase you down? Sounds a lot better than trying to convince them of something.

I 110% agree with Stacy on this one. There is nothing wrong with needing to slow things down a bit and educate over a period of several meetings, etc. But it is another to do all that and still have someone just "well I'm really still on the fence with this one. I need to talk to my partner, etc". You should be able to tell fairly quickly if they are really going to be worth your time in the long run, though I have had a few people I just had to "let go". Too demanding, expect instant results, not nearly profitable enough to put up with, etc.

This idea really goes hand-in-hand with the whole idea of going after 10 "bigger fish"(chiropractors, lawyers, etc) instead of going after 30 "little fish" (contractors, etc).

In a local market, the amount of backend work can almost be identical for both of these "fish". One has money to spend on advertising and more than likely is aware of the power of internet advertising. The other has a very tight budget, doesn't "get it", and wants the world for $197 a month.

Results may vary, but this has been my experience and this is why I am trying to focus on more "higher-end" businesses.

@Dexx i tend to target those who make big $ per sale (surgeons, contractors, etc). Usually they are okay with paying $1000 or $2000, but its not out of ordinary when you some who need more convincing done.....

Why not let your people into the process at a lower introductory monthly rate, then prove your services...

Once you are a proven asset, then offer them upgrade packages that will give them more value and you more revenue...

yeah i agree with stacy, jsherloc and vagabond 007. you are just supposed to find the convinced ones, in other words make it easy for them to find you, services we provide or any product we launch targets a specific population, you can never attract or convince a whole nation so just focus on the specific lot you are targetting and have faith!
