Hey warriors,
I need your help please.

There's all these craze about google listing but how exactly does it work. I know it appears for geo targeted listing so does that mean if I search carpenter on google. I'll be directed local listings or do I have to search Carpenter in Vancouver or Vancouver caprenter?

Essentially does the broad keyword appear locally? Also can you target more than one city? For example I reside in Vancouver so I'd also want to target this for Coquitlam, Burnaby, and Richmond all cities around Vancouver; How does this work. Can I submit more than 1 listing?

Thanks in advance and thanks for reading this thread; very inexperienced with google listings.

    I live in phoenix, AZ.

If i type in Carpenter, google will serve up both "regular' results for the broad term, but it will also serve up local carpenter results for phoenix.

However, from anywhere you can type in Carpenter in vancouver or vancoucer carpenter and get those local results.

If you want to target those smaller suburbs, like Coquitlam, Burnaby and Richmond you will need to target the keyword phrase of Carpenter 'City'.

However, Richmond is a perfect example of a result you may need to include the State/country on. For me, it is Glendale, AZ. Most all of my search results for Glendale 'Business' serve results for Glendale California. So, in this case I need to geotarget the state too.

Hope this helps out a little,
    Scott

Thanks very much. Just wanted to know whether my search results will come up when I search the key term without cities.

Also how do you geotarget a state and a city? or do you still have to use Carpenter 'city' other than what city you reside from?

BTW any course I can get on this?

You should also check what terms trigger the Google places 7 box. Sometimes local terms do not trigger a places box, so target the terms that do. It is much more visual and does not depend on search numbers to be successful. Customers search online and then buy offline, so the local business benefits.More foot traffic
