Hi,

Just wondering if anybody is using mindmaps when presenting the blueprint/solution to a business client after the initial consultative meeting, and if you would be willing to share one with us here.

I know I would be keen seeing what a completed mindamp you presented looked like.

Do a search for Maria Gudelis in the forum. She was the first one I saw sharing this idea and I think she still sells it.

With some modifications, it is pretty much the tool I use.

thanks Scott, I've seen the WSO, might look at getting it.

One question Ive got is do you guys put the clients problems on the mind map, or do you just put the strategies down like Video marketing etc...

    Personally,
I have a conversation with them about their business, do research on their business sector, on their business and their competition.

Then, the mindmap is a listing of the tactics and strategies that will help them
    • get higher rankings
    • get more clients
    • get more money out of their clients
    • find other ways to monetize their business

I have created a report that is roughly 80% template, which I add/remove items from and provide my insight and comments. This additional amount is definitively all about their problems.

But, the mindmap itself is all about the tactics and strategies.

This is pretty much what I do. Except I don't use mindmaps at all. I use graphs and visual helpers, but my reports aren't really strategy specific.

I have a market analysis report that I basically fill in the blanks for each client. I don't really give them much in the way of tech knowledge or plan of action steps on how I go about obtaining the results, since I've had a couple people try and take my reports and go look for cheaper labor with other contractors and just use my website "audit" as a "to-do" list for the other vendor.

I basically give them some info on where they are currently, and where I think I can get them...

I have used Mindmaps for many years in business and a remarkable tool for creativity and much more.

Suggest you try Tony Buzan's iMindmap tool which is the real thing.
