Thanks all!

Hi Rio, it depends on - where you would like to start your Offline journey.

Look at contributers in this subforum, and check up, if they published a WSO.

    OR

Start by getting newbie offline coaching.

      Lasse,
Why on earth would someone brand new get into newbie coaching? I am just
curious as too why you would think this is a great start for a newbie?

Save that investment til you have made some money, and your ready to
take your business to the next level. Even then, an offline coach is still going
to be tough to get results. The learning curve is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...not small.

      Just sayin... HUGE MISTAKE

Before you buy any WSO you need to consider what you want to do with offline marketing.

Do you want to cold call?

Do you want to do direct mail?

Do you want to go door to door?

Also you need to consider your budget and personality.

If you don't want to talk to another human being or they are shutting the lights off at your house that should fact into your decision.

Be sure also to check for PROOF.

Lots of people here selling theory, not many have the proof to back it up.

        Good luck.

TOUCHE Mr. Castleman, i guess i should have just shortned up my post
above this, and said the same thing. Well done sir...Wish i would of thought
of it, but hell, the proof is in the pudding. Most offliners who are making any
kind of signiciant money have no online time to post in the forum any more
          and Put out WSO's.

I'd have to disagree with this point slightly Robert. Now, if they are releasing a WSO every week, have released 20+ WSO's, and bumping their previous WSO's every day...well then I can only agree with you.

            BUT,

A lot of the offline WSO's I have read usually just introduce you to a new method (for doing whatever) that is currently working for them. It is good to read about different ways of doing things, and paying somewhere in the range of $7-$27 to get new ideas to implement in my own business is a reasonable trade-off in my opinion. Especially with a forum filled with so many great minds and common goals!

However, it is not good to read about the same ways to do the same things, just written differently by different people.

            Just my opinion though.

Also, I mean, using your logic, one could just turn around and say "most of the people who are truly successful at offline marketing are out collecting checks and they simply do not have time to post in warrior forum threads."

Just like anything, you really do have to dig to find the diamonds in the current offline WSOs though...and I agree lately it seems like we all need bigger shovels.

I would not start with a WSO if I was in your position...

Go grab material from true marketing legends like Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy, etc.

If you had to choose someone to learn from...would you choose from guys that have generated hundreds of millions of dollars for the business clients and get paid in the range of $5,000 - $10,000 per day for private consulting...

Or the people charging $7 for "How to make $10,000 in 10 days with Offline Marketing"

    You pick! lol

Depends on your talent level... If the average person cant do it, and it takes alot of talent, you are better off going with the latter... an average unseasoned newby isnt going to be getting 10k per day consulting fees anytime soon.

Before you buy a wso, look around at the forums for a while. I have found that many of the material found in the wsos were already subjects of discussion. Since the moderators have put up the offline board, I have learned much quicker because it is geared towards finding clients and the services to offer. Some of the posts on here by Chris Negro are as good as his wsos. Look for post. You will learn alot from him.

I forgot about Dexx, until saw your post above mine. Go to his forum, some of the guys over there have great ideas, and Dexx usually saves his best posts for them.

Thanks for the vote of confidence DSprank. I do try to bring what I do in the "real world" into my WSO's or my posts like my recent one here on my bartered wedding link below.

      Click Link Here

I really try to over deliver on every WSO as I (like most on the Warrior Forum) have bought some very low quality WSO's.

Anyway, many thank for business loyalty and trust !

If you check the WSO section, there are a few really good free ones on the topic of offline marketing. I would start there.

For paid WSO's on this subject, look for anything created by Maria Gudelis, Happy Warrior, or chrisnegro. That should get you started

Also, go check out these offline forums:

Yeah, I'm gonna disagree with Dexx on this one. There are some fantastic WSOs out there that get you the exact information you need to get you started right now. If you wanted to learn how to make home movies, would you go out and resaerch the great movie-making legends like Steven Spielberg and George Lucas or would you rather buy "Making Your Own Videos for Dummies."

Just use the search function and read the WSO reviews.

Nic brings up some great points, I didn't mean to come across as saying "WSOs aren't worth it," just that personally I've gotten fed up with about 90% of the stuff I see is being promoted since most are just re-spinning the same concepts into different products.

There's only a few Warriors that have shown to CREATE fresh ideas/strategies that have already been PROVEN to work.

Off the top of my head: Maria Gudelis, Tim Castleman, and Andrew Cavanaugh are all warrior that I've purchased material from because they were bringing new stuff to the community that works.

There's probably others I'm forgetting, but ya, hope that helps!

I'm a huge research/learning geek myself, so if -> I <- want to learn how to produce a movie...I actually WOULD purchase books and material written by, or recommended by, Steven Spielberg etc.

Just how I roll I guess

        Dexx,
i cannot agree more, folks get wound up about offline, and don't realize
what it takes to make any decent money. You have to be able too, i repeat
be able to understand first what business your in.

Your in the Results Business for Business's!!

If people would just search Offline, there is more information here than anyone
could ever need to get started with a 100k a year income offline. However it
wont happen over night. There is a severe learning curve, and most will quit
right before they get a taste of the Success.

If it was so easy...everyone would be doing it. You have to strive to be a well rounded
business consultant who is result oriented. Business owners only care about ROI and Results.

Want a good place too start... Go google Brashimpact in the search and read my MONSTER post i put up 3 days ago. That right there is enough to get you started right away.
WSO's are just that, a great offer for you as a buyer. Go make 1k then start re investing in paid for education. I didnt look, if your not a war room member spend the money and become one.

Best of luck... Concur with Dexx on this one. No need to spend on WSO's this early in the game.

        To your continued success

Check out Joe's WSO. It has over 1,800 replies and almost 76k views.

I purchased this last Friday, read it on Sunday and launched my site on Monday. I haven't made any money yet, but the wheels are in motion and I have 5 or 6 potential clients interested.

I takes work, but it's for newbies of season vets.

    Maria Gudelis is great.
David Preston is great (although most of his WSOs have been moved to regular products).
I haven't personally bought anything by Mick S. but I've heard lots of good things about him.
Jason Fladlien even has a product about finding offline clients that's worth looking at.

I have only bought from 2 Warriors and they were both great. Maria Gudelis and Mario Brown. They both have a lot of free stuff available as well so try searchin around for their content and signin up for their list.

If you haven't read thru the Offline MegaThread, that should be your first step. It's like 30 pages so I recommend focusing only on the posts with tons of "thanks."

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...huiWDQo1KC6cF8

I also recommend browsing some forums, offlinepro is another good one. You can find more case studies and specific examples where WSO's tend to focus only on methods and strategies.

    Rio,

I just finished going through Peter Max's "Local Lead Generation" WSO and it is FOR SURE the most useful WSO I've read in several months.

    The Thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...usinesses.html

Hate to sound "pluggy", but seriously I'd snag it. And you asked. At $27, it is filled with literally TONNNNS of information. If the product had the name of some of the gurus on it, you'd be looking at a price point of $497++ (after the GENEROUS $97 discount, etc...)

I have to agree with Dexx and BrashImpact.... There is so much info out there to learn...

To get started I would read Jay Abraham's, "Getting Everything You Can Out Of All You've Got." That book alone gives a wonderful summary of many of Jay's multi-thousand dollar packages. You could probably even pick it up at a used bookstore since it's been around a while.

Very very rare that I offer my opinion....

Opinions don't get us money in the bank. Nor do they help sell offline services. Or online services for that matter.

    Ok... here it goes.....

It doesn't matter what you pay to find out what you want to learn. It's really what you do with the knowledge you are given. AND... you really don't need to have a bunch of knowledge in a given field to do something.

There was a time in my life when I was broke, busted, and not to be trusted. I found a set of Time Life Do It Yourself Books in dumpster... (I was dumpster diving and selling stuff on ebay for money at the time.)

I took those books... Didn't read them all, but had them in my arsenal... Then went and got a job as a Maintenance Tech at an apartment complex. When something would happen that I didn't know about... I would look it up. If I couldn't find it... I would call someone who knows about these things and ask them....

Back then my knowledge of the internet was eBay... and email. That's it.

What was important... I took action. I lifted up my skirt, grabbed my webones, and jumped in.

You can get the same info out of a $47 product as a $2,000 product. But... if you don't do anything... all you did is waste money.

Just do it.... Then learn about it.

I bought John Durhams War Report and took action.... Since then I have not made less than $2K per week....

Why? Becuase I took action. That and there is a killer forum to back it up.... so when I don't know something.... I can ask people that do. And they don't offer opinions related to something they read. They actually chime in based on experiences....

I am an average guy that does average things and leads an average life. If I can make money doing this stuff.... so can you. You already have the tools you need. You. A Computer. A phone.

Everything else will work itself out. I promise.

I'm a big fan of Vagabond 007. His posts alone are better than some of the WSO's I've seen.

I've purchased a bunch of offline WSO's and some are good and some are, well, not so good.

I like Vagabond's the best because his have the least amount of fluff. And, they talk about things other WSO's never mention (setting goals, mindset stuff, etc).

The most "offline" related WSO I've read is in the link below. I say most offline related because it talks about actual strategies and techniques to increase a businesses profits instead of the typical SEO stuff every other WSO seems to talk about.

Really... I didn't know I would be interested in marketing over the phone. John's Telemarketing War report put a new spin on the idea that lead me to making money.

I had a preconceived notion before purchasing that I found to not be true.

Since giving it a shot... Actually taking action. My life has improved in all aspects. I really cannot say enough about the altruism of the forum in my sig either.

If you want to make money now.... Read the report. If not... don't. No biggie.

I just know that within a week... someone who knows very little can make $1500+. All they have to be willing to do is do it.

I'll be blunt and not name names.

WSO's are great tools to have when you're starting out and don't know anything on the topic but have an interest and desire to learn, I would check into the people who are writing them though, as from experience the things you buy you already likely know they just have a bunch of people praising them in their threads to come across like authorities.

All I'm saying is just be cautious you're not buying junk from someone who just read junk themselves and decided to repolish the junk and claim it's gold... do some research and be cautious.

*Note I come from a univeristy education on the topic so I kind of have issues taking advice from people posing as professionals doing the "fake it till you make it" approach and making money from junk.*

Buy a textbook, learn about marketing... then learn how to apply the theory through different practical ventures, build the fundementals before you jump into "how to get rich" guides.

Hope your development is a fun journey.

I'll be blunt, I have issues on "university education" in the field of marketing. Are you recommending to buy a university textbook about sales and marketing?

I agree that there a bunch of people selling things and claiming to be experts who actually aren't. But, there are things you could learn in some of these WSO's that a school will never teach.

Best bet, if you are looking to buy a WSO, search the persons posts and get a feel for them. It's pretty easy to tell the BS'ers from the people who actually know what they are talking about.

I'm with dv8 on this one.

My gf's sister is taking a sales and marketing class in college. I asked to see her books and tests. Oh geez! Some of the things I saw made me scratch my head and wonder why they are teaching it.

Interesting quick story, turns out her teacher owns a very successful business. So I asked her why he doesn't teach the things that has made him successful instead of the junk in the text book. She said he did at one point but he got in trouble with the school so he stopped.

To me, that is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I thought they are suppsoed to prepare students for the real world? What better way than to learn from someone who has real world experience. But no, they discouraged that.

No not exactly, I am simply telling people if they want a good resource to buy an overview of marketing, learn the fundementals then learn how to apply the fundementals in different circumstances.

People here often have no idea about marketing, they come here because they seek freedom and want to find quick ways to make cash, then they get burnt by some hack acting like a guru... I hate guru's again this is just my personal thought, you don't need to agree.

Learn about the basics, then you can look at what people have to offer with an objective mindset, not fall victim to yet another strategically structured sales page.

If you find a person with great information and it's solid that can be used as a positive thing for yourself then it's good, regardless if they its a textbook or an ebook WSO or training program.

    Thanks,

      Ain't that the truth!

And I do agree with you. We seem to be on the same page, just needed clarification from your other post.

Again, another person taking it as go read a textbook.

I'm suggesting build a firm knowledge of the fundementals, then apply them and twist them and profit from them and be able to pick up when someone is offering bull****.

For example who doesn't know how to organise offline businesses and offer online services like SEO, Twitter and FB? It pisses me off seeing so many people on here asking questions about how to help clients they have landed for services on a topic they have no idea about, but because they read a BS $7 report on the topic they think they can go match it with people that have the experience, it truly ruins industries.

What ever happened to putting in effort and time to develop the skills before running off and selling services?

    Back on topic.

Purchase WSO's but be very careful, don't take peoples reviews on it as overly valid, because half the time the people reviewing have no clue themselves. (NOT ALL THE TIME - JUST SOME TIMES)

    Thanks,

    -JB

PS I fully agree with both dv8, and vega... we just come from different angles but our message is the same.

I see that run rampant on this forum so I can see where you are coming from. One thing I make it apoint to do... only share my experience.

It keeps the BS and hidden agendas out of it. I wish more people would just stick to their own experience. It would make it easier to navigate all the BS that do the exact thing you described.

I am here to help. Not hinder.
