Better Than Zero

So many people here want to start consulting offline businesses whether it's SEO, design, Google Places etc... they ask the same questions on how to start doing it. Well...

Take few first clients up for free. I contacted a personal trainer in Canada after I read his article online and saw he doesn't have a site. It's client no.1. My friends are starting a businesses, another site needed. Again, I do it for free to gain experience and get testimonials/referrals.

It's this easy! Yes you will spend your time. But you gain invaluable thing - experience!! Even if you don't get paid or get burned, NO ONE can take away your experience and what you already made! You know you can do it!

    That video is very applicable for a lot of start up offline consultants. It does make you stop and think about what you feel is beneath you or what you feel something is worth. If you are struggling, take what you can get and build from there. As he says, "Everything is Better than Zero!"

    Providing free services is good - but that can also extend out to your offline clients.

    Have them provide a fundraiser. Or depending on the type of service; free birthdays for kids. Tons of adults shows up and provides great lead generation.
