Are you talking about an autoresponder or an e-mail system for your site? (Like POP etc)

This is a simple yet effective email that has resulted in prospective clients contacting me.

The key is not to mention the term "website design" "marketing" or any other online marketing jargon. Because ultimately all they care about is how we are going to make them more money. Positioning is very important.

Keep it simple and to the point. Keep it regionally targeted. Don't be salesy. You just want to arouse enough curiosity to make them take the next step, which is of course, to contact you.

What Vital Video says sounds like it may actually
work but in my experience email has always been
the worst way to get clients.

If you get out there and meet with business owners,
take them out to lunch, and go to local business
meetings you'll have all the business you can handle.

Email can work I'm not saying it doesn't. I'm just
saying it's the worst method I've used.

    I agree with Justin.

If you want to mass prospect, I've found it much more effective to do it by direct mail.

I am having no luck with email. I have sent out 50 emails with 6 or 7 call backs and that's it. I am going to try using Vital Video's template, but I think it's time to pound the pavement and go meet some people face-to-face.

I marketing, you have to think "How would I want to be marketed to?"
