Putting together a business website evaluation checklist and need your ideas

I am compiling a checklist of things to critique when evaluating small business websites.

Here are my initial thoughts - be sure to share your own ideas as well.
-Do they have an e-mail list? Is their offer compelling?
-Do they use meta tags appropriately on their site? Are they using them effectively?
-Are they using testimonials?
-Do they have effective website copy?
- Does it sell the visitor?
-Do they have details on a referral program listed on their website?
-Do they describe what kind of an "ideal client" they would like to have?
-Is the contact information easy and accessible?
-Do they list educational content on their website? Is it compelling?
-Where do they stand in search engine rankings for their business?
-Do they have a Google local business profile? How effective is it?
-Are they incorporating effective pictures into their website?
-Are they using online press releases to promote their business?
-Do they include a bio of the person that runs the business? Establish credibility?
-Do they explain what makes their business different than any other business?
-Is their website design professional and compelling?
-Do they use online coupons in their marketing?

    Hi Timothy,

    That's a pretty good list.

    I would add these:

    -Is their website connected to their Social Media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, etc.)? Look for the icons on the home page of their website - this is where they should be if they have them.

    -Do they even HAVE Social Media accounts? (Do a quick search for their business name on each network to find out prior to meeting)

    -Do they have a blog connected to their website for constant communication?

    -Are the links in their website active and functioning properly? I've come across so many websites with dead links - or links that take you someplace other than where you thought. So I always check a few links to see if they're working.

    That's all I can think of for now but I'll be back if I think of something else.
