One free way to get new offline clients using CL

Do you have an account with Craigslist?

If not, join today.

Once you do, head over to your local area and check out the listings for services in the computer related field.

Get a feel for the competition and start adding your own service to the website. I recommend doing it at least once a week for the best results.

Simply have a special "CL" offer such as a discount for new customers and offer your Social Media, SEO, and website packages.

It's a simple and a free way to get new clients into your growing offline consulting business!

Craigslist is a goldmine for both promoting your own services, as well as gathering leads.

You can attack it 2 ways. One by putting your services out there. And two, by emailing business owners asking for SEO help or website building. Works great!

I have used craigslist in another way. I search under the sales jobs and look for local businesses who are looking for 100% commision salespeople or independant contractors. I then call them and let them know how I can generate leads for them online. Most are happy to have another avenue to attract business from- not one has not been open to talking about it even if we have decided it is not a good fit after going through it.

Some times you just have to take life by the throat and shake a little more out.

There are craigslist posting services that claim to be getting web designers 100+ leads a month posting ads on craigslist.

It's something I plan to do when I find a good service at a good price point.

I've yet to find a good service that doesn't get your ads ghosted... Maybe that's something we can share in a thread in this forum.

Although I've had some luck with Craigslist, I find that many of the clients you'll find on Craigslist are going to be lower profit clients in most cases. People go to Craigslist looking for a bargain... I have had a lot of success recruiting sales reps on Craigslist though...

Its great to use to get started and if you like to scale it up in the future with a CL service that works

I have always neglected CL or just considered it as something that is stuffed with spam... am I mistaken???

Its like everything else free. You have to wade through the bullsh** to find the nuggets of gold. Its invaluable because of the amount of traffic that goes through that site daily.

It's a pity craiglist in the UK is not very popular. However, that shouldn't stop anyone looking for leads in the USA even if your business is based in the Uk.

The internet is global and we can operate our business globally. There should be no geographical limitations for anyone. Yes it does make it slightly harder to convert an international client but there are ways around that to.

It is easy to have an office and US tel number giving the impression of a global business.

Ps: How does craigslist convert for you guys?
