Give Your Recommendation on Facebook and Twitter Outsourcing

I have 2 clients interested in Facebook & Twitter. I provide SEO and PPC services to them. I have got few of the WSOs on facebook here and quite familiar with social media marketing.

Looking for someone to execute and implement.

Want to provide custom fan/business page as well as ongoing customer engagement practices (contests, responsive and engaging comments, fan building)

What are your recommendations and have you what experience have you had?

Awesome question Anand. I for one am looking forward to some feedback on this issue as well. here is just so much you can do with social media, but I'd want to make sure the person handling my clients' properties had an excellent track record and portfolio, etc.

To me, it's (facebook pages, twitter, etc) a lot more "intimate" than just hiring some linkbuilder or something.

I am actually looking into offering this service and setting it up for people.

I have done this for some local friends nothing to large, I know FBML and such though to set something up.

Looks like this is the "sexier" service. I come from PPC/SEO background but when I mention social media to a a business owner - their eyes light up.

Also wanted to add to the question mix - from a fan engagement standpoint - would a Filipino VA be effective versus a native English speaking person? Can good article writers be used for this (Commenting, posting, and responding to fan comments)?

Definitely. Filipino employees have a good grasp of the English language and culture.

If you get enough clients wanting you to manage it and you charge enough, you could almost just hire someone you know and trust to handle all of them. You could also go with a VA or as some people mentioned above outsource to a good Filipino as that seems to be the country that has the best grasp of the English language and culture, yet is still very cheap to outsource.

And how do you manage the projects? Using social marketing for clients
has to be designed for each client individually. How do you outsource
      that and guarantee quality posts?

        Gail,

As far managing projects - I am old school simple with google docs.
I closely inspect the work that is done by my outsourcers regularly.

I understand that social media is custom to the client and I have their unique needs firmly in mind before I start.
That is why I am quite cautious about who I hire because of the viral nature of Facebook.

As for your second question - I am not sure if you are directing the question at me but will take a shot at the guarantee quality part.

There is so much noise out there with folks getting bombarded by all kinds of messages. So unless one has something meaningful and engaging to say - they have no business posting on social media.

Would like your 2 cents as well.

          Good answer Anand!

I posed the question because I have not been able to find anyone who
talks about it. In fact, after reading this post, I started a new thread and
so far only have 1 person reply.

I'm just concerned that too many people are talking about how easy it is
to outsource and not including how to manage them. I really am
interested in the different ways people are doing the management.

Okay I see where you coming from now. Outsourcing is not easy as many folks claim - it does take trial and error.
Hasn't been a straight shot for me. It takes me at least 5-10 providers to find the 1 that offers real quality.

Speaking of stuff people don't talk about - Social media analytics...giving concrete and measurable progress to clients...separate thread for a another day.

Hmm, I should probably start contacting offline clients to get more direct sales. Perhaps I can get better ROI from going direct. It seems offline businesses are looking for such services.
Currently I'm just selling my social media services online. I'm mostly being outsourced by other social media companies. The success have been GREAT with tons of clients from large social media companies freelancing me but I'm looking to increase my price and ROI.

Chad - thanks for the feedback. Will have to test out VA from Philippines for this.

Benjamin - you got good service. There is no guarantee in the quality of fans out there and always skeptical of the Fiverr post that promize gazillion fans which end up having no interest in what you do.

Blissk, you are on point. There are tons and tons of newbies starting SM companies but when I ask them what rate of influence or rate of increase they have gotten for themselves or a client they go blank.

Is it better to use people who are certified in SM? Is there such a thing anyway?
