Mobile Marketing - It's NOT "Me against You"

It's pretty clear that there are a wide difference of opinions on this subject, and how you should go about it.

SO, please keep in mind the following: I live in the 5th poorest county in TN. There are no "Big Cities". My TOWN has a population of 8,000. Period.

Having said that, others that suggest you must be able to handle 10,000 members with unlimited messages is a bit unrealistic for my circumstances.

I can, however, go into one of my local businesses, start them off with a "preview package" which offers "x" number of members, and unlimited text messages for as low as $200 a month.

If I NEED 10,000 member capacity, I can get it. Unlimited texts? Got it. Is this a bad "business plan" as someone suggested? Not for my situation, so don't try to lump me into your specifics.

There is only one thing stopping me from implementing my plan right now, and that's the fact that I'm home-bound for a couple of weeks and can't get out to hit the streets. Once I've taken care of the ailments, you can bet your ass I'll be out and among them.

And, I'll gauge my success on what I can do for the folks in my area, not on what I might be able to do if I were in your area.

Bottom line is, don't let your situation be shot down by someone that doesn't have a clue as to what you're staring in the face, versus what they're looking at.

I recognize you from Joe's WSO! Hello there. Are implementing mobile marketing to that business venture as well? I'm toying with the idea and trying to get a realistic outlook on it

I try to keep an eye out for anything that I feel I can use in my area. As I mentioned, things are quite distressed around here, so I just step back, and scale my projects to fit the needs and pocketbooks of my little market.

Where others may be touting $4-5-600 sales, I'm quite happy with $2-$300 if I can do it and provide results.

That kind of cash goes a long way when you're on S.S. :>)
