Google maps, getting 2 shops ranked in the 7 pack?

Hi there everyone,

I just wanted abit of advice

Ok so my uncle owns 2 restaurants in the same location and I want to get both his sites listed in the 7 pack. Will it work if both listings had "duplicate content" or should I make them different for citations ?

Thanks for the reply.

Don't worry about dupplicate content. That's a myth. I was able to rank a site in the 7-pack with zero content.

    Here's the video:

    Hi Michael

You would be best to follow these simple rules:-

    1) Make sure each Restaurant has a "unique" physical address
    2) Make sure that each has a separate "local" telephone number

Aside from that you are good to go.

    Regards

I was able to rank twice in the 7-pack using the same phone number.

        Hi Henry

Yeah - perhaps we are more conservative than you having had a "big time " Google slap a couple of years ago.

Anyway, we prefer to run separate numbers and different addresses so that they are at least "individual" enough for Google to be somewhat happy.

        Regards

I've seen listings where the addresses where modified as if it was multilevel buidlings example

    1/987 Main street
    2/987 Main street

Not sure how effective this is.

      Hi Peter

Yes that sort of thing works.

We have seen the following approach too :-

      Suite 1
      Suite 2
      Suite 3
      Unit 1
      Unit 2
      Unit 3

Plus plenty of other derivatives.
