Questions about e-mail marketing services

For those of you that provide e-mail marketing services for local businesses, I have the following questions:

1. Do you teach / show your clients how to send out e-mails themselves to their subscribers?

2. Is it best to let your clients manage their e-mail list (in case they don't want to pay a monthly retainer fee to have you manage it for them)?

    Hi Tkhowse, typically if the client is extremely busy with their day-2-day work, they will want you to manage their marketing stuff. We tend to work out a retainer with a Pay-for-Performance percentage thus the retainer is manageable on a monthly basis. If however they want to control their own list and marketing, then we offer training n guidance.

        As of right now I do not offer this service. Maybe in the future. My main focus right now is just writing the emails that will get open.

        Offering those kinds of extra services is a good idea. Something to think about in the future.
