Not real clear on how redirecting a domain affects SEO.
Lets say my customer has a site, I SEO his site, buy a keyword rich domain and redirect it to his site will I get the SEO benefit of the keyword rich domain?
Thanks.

Google only scan your main website it cant recognize the redirecting address. So it affects SEO. Its back hat it will receive penalty by google. All the best.

Are you talking about redirects in the Organic Results or Google Places?

I've been using redirects in Google Places with no problem. As a matter of fact, that's the only thing I do.

Yeah, i've heard a lot of people doing this to their own benefit, especially for SEO. You'll have to look into the best way to do it, but people are doing it all the time!
