    I think it's great from my clients pov. Map listings and organic list are closer together making it stand out more. Add a #1 ppc listing in there and it would look like google loves that business. All above the fold would impress any client.

      I got to agree... Good to see Google so Organic Friendly... I thought it was going the other way for a bit...

    It is hard to say what Google is going to settle on, but it has definitely helped my clients so far. For my clients that were at the top of the 7 box, not much change. For a few clients that were further away from the center of a city and not higher on the 7 box, the high natural search rankings that I got just got a lot more visible

      Yes, the new look is much better.

      However, the google places listings are not always at the top before the organic listings. Sometimes you will see a few organic listings before the places listings.

      To see an example - google the keyword phrase Edwardsville BBQ

    All I have to say is it looks a heck of alot better than how it used to be. Having it smack in the middle was taking up too much precious search results space.
