I just came across a new site that looks to be an awesome tool to be able to spy on local businesses and what they are doing in social media. Could be used to show clients what their competition is doing in order to help spur them on to working with you.

It shows what kind of info you can get access to that you can use to be able to help clients or to help get them on board with you. It looks pretty awesome to me.

This looks like an excellent tool.

I just wonder what the backend will be? Why show a business what competitors are doing UNLESS you are also going to offer them something to set them ahead of competitors?

My point being is how will they monetize this because I'm certain they didn't just have a lot of free time on their hands and decided to set this up for small biz owners.

Looks pretty good - BUT - it seems to only cover the US or are we missing something?

I am not 100% sure on that, but I think you might be right, at least for now. It isn't fully launched yet, but I am looking forward to getting into it.

Yes Im an Aussie to and it does get a little frustrating I guess on some things....There is 1.8 billion people online after all. Oh well, plenty of toys out there to find.

  Bronwyn and Keith: yes, Australia is on the roadmap. We launched the pvt beta a couple of weeks ago - with plans for 20 cities (10 covered at this time). Plan to cover London, Singapore, Sydney & Melbourne thereafter - hopefully by Jan 2011, latest by March.

  As our data curation processes & algorithms improve, we hope to be able to add cities much faster than we do right now, and yes, certainly hope to add Queensland soon, too.
  
  (PS: always wanted to catch some scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef, so I have vested interests in adding Queensland

  @SCC, @caryduke: Thank you. Adding cities as fast as we can - especially after the public beta launch later this month. Phoenix is high up on the list too. This should also be done by Jan 2011
