OK to call on weekend? A warm lead?

Not any coldcalling or selling, but just following up on a warm lead I have already met. I just want to ask him if he wants to meet next week and when.

The situation - Last week I was introduced to a bar/club owner by a good friend of mine who works there. The guy gave me his business card and told me to give him a call cuz he was interested. I didn't get to call him this week, so is it ok to call him Saturday?

Or should I just wait till Monday morning?

Just me, but since you haven't really "established" any type of relationship yet, I wouldn't make that call until Monday.

    Best of luck to you!

    Hi rockyk

If you haven't agreed with the business owner about a weekend call definately leave it til Monday.

Quite frankly though you should have already made the call within a day of receiving the business card.

    Regards

Weekends are going to be the busiest time for a bar/club. Hold off until Monday.

Best to hold off until Monday. Get the business relationship established and then learn about the best days/times to call.

I would call Monday and never leave a call wait for that long -- always as soon as possible after you've been given the opportunity.

    Just my 2 cents ;-)

Yea I definitely waited longer than I should have. I did end up calling back monday and set an appointment for this week.

From the couple of coldcalls I have done, I've seen a pattern that business owners mostly ask me to call them back on Monday. I'm guessing it's because:
    • They usually already have a lot of things on their mind for this week.
    • They are most open to schedule a meeting at the beginning of the week because their schedule is the most open.

      Hi Rocky,

      Congrats on the appointment!

Let us know how it all went.

      Thanks,
      Christopher
