For You "Well Heeled" Offliners...

Well, I guess anyone could do it if they had a spare few hundred bucks. :>)

Just saw an ad on TV about a window installation company in Knoxville area. A franchise no doubt, but touting the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval".

Did you know, the the GHSA was available to anyone with the cash?

Don't know what their rates are now, but back in the '80's you could use this slogan and the seal for your business for $200!

Imagine the kick it would give a local business (Joe's Burger Joint) if he were able to advertise his "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval".

And, don't believe all the crap they have listed in their "how to get GHSA" either. They say "no franchises, but I've already seen franchised products listed.

    Pete,

Nice post! Have you heard of other national "seals" or other "stamp of approval" devices that can be used?

Ha! I imagine someone could set up an association and "certify" their friends...

    Hmmm.... Doesn't that already happen?

    Cheers,

Well, we could always form the "International Association of Offline Marketing Consultants" and create an Official Seal. :>)

Hire one of us, and you get to put the "seal" on your website, hang a plaque on your wall, etc.
