Need Help with Client's Facebook Account Issue

I was in my client's Facebook account... created his Fanpage.

A few minutes later, my outsourcer tried to login to his FB account to connect his FB Fanpage to his Twitter and both to his blog.

But she received a message saying "Your account has suspicious activity and has been locked... please unlock by verifying your friends or receiving an email."

So now I have to get him to unlock his account. But I don't want it to happen again.

Any ideas what would cause this? I believe there is some setting in his FB profile that is creating this extra security check.

My outsourcer has logged into several FB Fanpages from the U.S. and never had a problem.

Thanks in advance!

Ughhhhh.... OK. Guess we'll figure out a careful way to do this.

I'm sure there's a way around this... people outsource their Social Media stuff to people overseas all the time - and I'm sure there are multiple log ins that go on due to this. Plus, my outsourcer has never had this problem with anyone else's account.

I wonder how long we should wait in between log ins once the owner clears out the security block... (I won't login at all this time... so it will be only the outsourcer)

    Thanks, Healymedia!

Facebook checks IP addresses I think because I have had problems logging in from diferent locations. Not sure if this is always the case but I believe it is.

Yep - got it in one.

Looks like you triggered the IP checker by having logins from 2 different countries.

Easily fixed - let the outsourcer sort through it and send them screenshots of anything you want fixed.

    Regards

I login to my clients accounts all the time and I have no problems. It must be flagged by accessing in a different country

If you log into multiple accounts too quickly, or log in to a single account from multiple IPs too quickly they lock you down.

It's been a bigger PITA lately than it used to be.

I have also had this issue with client pages. IT seems to be a factor of location and IP. Once the account has been verified and facebook sees more diversification in the login the issue seems to reslove itself. I have seen this happen with my own account when I login from computers in various locations across the country, inevitably the issue resolves after verification.

As Bronwyn and Keith said, send them screenshots and they are pretty good at sorting it out. It is an automated system that checks for suspicious activity. I had a similar issue on a recent overseas trip and I logged onto a client's profile
